The room was filled with silence, you on one side and Sakura on the other. You were reading a medical book even though you aren’t a med-nin, boredom makes you do stuff. Sakura was staring out of the window looking down on the Leaf Village. Today was the expected of Naruto’s arrival, both you and Sakura were nervous you just hid it better. Sakura must be nervous because of all the times she treated Naruto like dirt she must have reflected on what you told her two years ago, the last day you saw everyone in the Leaf village. It surprised you because not only did you not leave on the best terms with Naruto but you also left on even worse term with Sakura, how she practically tackled you to hug you yesterday was indeed a surprise. You thought she would try and steal a sucker punch. It would have been the typical Sakura thing to do and you still one-hundred percent believe she changed completely. It’s like one of the many saying the Hisakage thought you, ‘Time, which changes people, does not alter the image we have retained of them.’ And he was right –which he always is- if not the case about Sakura then about Kakashi-sensei; he was late just like you expected him to be.

Sakura sighed which caused you to look at her, what you were not expecting was her looking at you and as soon as you two made eye contact she looked away. The words you told her must have made a big impact.

“Geez Naruto your useless! You let him get away!” Sakura… Sakura… Sakura!! Ever since Naruto couldn’t bring Sasuke back Sakura got extra bitchy with Naruto, not because he couldn’t bring him back it’s because of the grievance Sasuke caused her which she was taking out on Naruto which wasn’t fair at all!

“I’m sorry Sakura-chan… I wasn’t paying attention-“

“That’s right, you weren’t paying attention! You never do, idiot. Now we have to return to the Hokage empty handed.” You, Sakura and Naruto were on a simple mission, bring Tonton –Shizune’s pig- back to the Leaf Village since he wandered of and Shizune couldn’t get any work done in her distraught state.

“But…”

“But what?!”

“Sakura enough!” You snapped, you had enough. Naruto would suffer no more!

“What?”

“Why are you so mad at Naruto? You were on watch with him! Tonton could have easily eaten through that shitty cardboard box you got! In the very least, you deserve half the blame.”

“Kasumi-chan… you don’t have to-“

“And you!” You said spinning around to point at Naruto, “Why do you let her stomp all over you?!” It was a question you knew the answer to, because he liked her. But is still didn’t grant her the right to do this, ”Man up!”

Naruto was speechless and just stared at you, Sakura too but it didn’t stop you.

“You should think about what you do to him and you should try and put yourself in his shoes for once. What you do to Naruto is unacceptable and you know it. You’re an ungrateful brat, after Naruto went after Sasuke with double the determination because of you and this is how you repay him?! You make me sick.” You spat with vehemence.

“Don’t bring up Sasuke in this, Naruto-!”

“Treats you like a Queen compared to Sasuke!” It was clear that you successfully befuddled Sakura. You looked at Sakura with scornful eyes, and your austere outlook made both Sakura and Naruto become rigid, without warning you stormed off into the Hokage building were Watanabe-sensei was waiting to take you back to the Cave Village. But you had accomplished something not even Sasuke could do, break Sakura. You did more than chastise that day; you chewed her up and spat her out. Even though it didn’t look like it, you were actually saying it for her own good too, she knew Naruto was nice but everyone had their limits. You didn’t care if she hated you for that; someone had to break it to her. One way or another.
