The problem with Alpha Ian

Chapter 3

Most of the time only pack doctors go to college.

So I kind of understood why my dad was surprised.

"I'm going to go to college" I repeat.

"I don't understand, I mean you could do what you want I won't stop you but don't you want to miss out. Is it because you haven't found your mate? Honey I know it seems like you will never meet him but you will. Just give it time" My father says and at the mention of my mate Gabriella tenses and looks at me.

Needless to say My dad didn't know about the Ian incident.

"I just want to live a little" I take a sip of my juice "Before I find my mate and settle down" My eyes meet Gabriella's and she mouths 'i'm sorry'

I take a deep breath, willing my annoyance at her to subside.

My mother speaks up "Well if that's what you want, we are proud of you"

I smile "Thanks"

After swallowing his bite my dad asks "What do you want to study?"

"I was thinking on going psychology" I shrug.

"Oh that is so cool" Gabriella says.

I nod "Yup"

"How far is the university you are going to?" My mom asks.

"It's an hour away from here, I will be living in a dorm" I mumble, taking another bite of my pasta, why can't they just let me eat in peace.

I finish my food in record time and excuse myself.

Only a few more months and I will be free.

Ian's POV

I stare at the sleeping, naked woman next to me in disgust.

Why do I always do this?

After months of moping I settled.

I decided I deserve to even be in the presence of Isabella, not that she would want to see me. I am sure she still hates my guts.

So a few months ago, I started doing the thing that made me lose my mate in the first place, sleeping around.

Everything seemed to go back to normal, I acted like the old Ian.

But I felt different.

Before everything, I didn't feel this self hate.

I actually used to love myself pretty damn much.

My decision to not try to get Isabella back was pretty selfless on my part, All I wanted to do was go to her house and beg for forgiveness but I know it wouldn't be fair for her.

Now, I didn't contact her but that didn't mean I didn't know how she was or what was going on in her life.

That's where Julia came in, I managed to convince her to tell me about Isabella's life.

Every new thing that happened in her life, Julia would tell me.

Which was totally wrong and a violation of Isabella's privacy but I couldn't live without knowing how she was doing.

I love her.

I look at the red head next to me.

I only had one time now and that was redheads but.

Her hair was all wrong.

It wasn't Isabella's beautiful red hair.

It looked cheap on the girl next to me.

I even considered shaving her head but then realized I am thinking completely psycho and it would be better if I kicked her out.

I shake her not so gently.

Her eyes flutter open and she smiles at me "Listen, uh Molly my girlfriend is about to get home any minute now. She just had the baby and well she would not be happy to see you here" I lie with ease.

He jumps out of the bed "You slept with me when you had a pregnant girlfriend? You sick bastard" she yells.

I shake my head "Of course not, she isn't pregnant anymore. She just had the baby. Last night actually. I missed the birth to sleep with you"

"You disgust me" Molly says and starts getting dressed.

I rest my head against the headboard "Believe it or not, that is not the first time I hear that"

"Go to hell" She snaps and storms out of my room.

I wave at her retreating back "Nice meeting you Molly"

And that ladies and gentlemen is how you get rid of a one night stand without them annoying the shit out of you in the future.

With that, I got ready for the rest of my day.

I decided to take a shower and meet Cameron and Julia for a bit.

After my shower I go to Cameron's place.

"What are you doing so early? Its 11am" Cameron grumbles.

I shrug "I was bored"

Julia sighs "Did you eat already?"

I shake my head with a grin "That's why I'm here, feed me guys"

"There's cereal, you know where the bowls are" Julia says with a smile.

After I am done Serving myself some cereal I turn to Julia.

"Have you talked to her?" I ask.

She nods "Of course I have"

"About?" I urge.

"I'm not telling you what we talked about Ian" she says, taking a sip of her coffee.

I pout "Please"

She shakes her head "Nope"

"What can you tell me then?" I ask.

She is silent for a few seconds then says "Isabella will start going to university in a few months"

"Which one?" I ask.

She shrugs "She didn't say, the thing is that you won't be able to stalk her anymore"

I frown "I don't stalk her"

"You kind of do bro" Cameron says.

"I just want to make sure she is okay" I grumble.

"Then why don't you go and ask her if she is okay" Julia suggests.

"Because she hates me" I snap.

"You don't know that" Cameron and Julia say in unison.

"I do, now if you'll excuse me I want to eat my soggy cereal in peace"

*winces* i'm sorry it sucks.

I just...I want to get to the next stage already and sadly I can't just skip all of the coping process.
