I winced at his choice of word, trying to pull my hand away from his but he only held onto it much more tighter just like how he hugged me. "Babe?"
"Mm?" He glanced at me with fake loving eyes and I pursed my lips into a line. "What is it, babe?"
I gritted my teeth together, "did you order your food, yet?"
"No, I didn't—Haeun.." His face transformed from playful to sad, as his eyes followed Haeun who stood up to leave with her date.
I turned around and stared at Haeun who seemed like she wanted to get out of here as soon as possible. Although, she looked just as hurt, and I was beginning to feel bad for joining in Jungkook's game.
I turned towards Jungkook and smacked his arm, "are you fucking insane?!"
Jungkook raised his hands up in defeat, "it was the only way to get her attention.."
"So trying to use me as your new upgrade was your only option of getting her attention?!" I exclaimed, shaking my head. "You're really desperate to get her back, aren't you?"
He looked hurt, and it was my turn to feel bad again. I reached out for him, but he backed away from me. "I'm sorry for dragging you into this, I'm such an asshole."
"Jungkook, I didn't mean that, I'm so—"
"No, you're right." He chuckled bitterly, and I felt myself wince at his hurt tone. "I guess I am desperate to get Haeun back."
"I'm sorry—" I began and he smiled sadly.
"I'll see you tomorrow, alright?" I watched him as he began to exit the pizza place.
After seeing his hurt face, I couldn't help but feel more bad for the poor little guy who was heartbroken over his ex.
And I knew the perfect way to help him out.

"Jungkook, wait!" I was chasing the lover boy all morning for God knows how long, but he was just so fast that I couldn't keep up with his speed.
His eyes were bloodshot red, and his body looked really weak. Taehyung and Bora agreed with my decision in helping Jungkook, and it was basically the only way to apologize for the rude things I said to him.
Haeun happened to meet someone new, a family friend, and she was now dating him. This was probably most of the contribution to Jungkook's sadness. The rumors at high school spread like wildfire, and Jungkook just had to be the first one to hear it.. and believe it.
"He's a fast runner, is he on the cross country team?" Bora panted, holding my shoulder as she breathed heavily. "Wait, can I take a breath first?"
"Yeah, let's take a breath first, this guy is fast." I sighed, sitting down on the bleachers outside of the school.
"Are you sure you want to help him out this way?" Bora asked, and I nodded reassuringly.
"He looked pretty upset at what I said to him, and I think this is the only way to pay back for what I did." I explained and Bora smiled.
"There's the genuine Seoyeon that I know." She nudged me and I sighed, looking ahead of the school's soccer field.
My eyes stopped upon Jungkook who was now sitting down on the grass a few metres away. I stood up, this was my only chance to catch up to him and have a talk. Bora stared at me bewilderedly as I began to sprint across the field to get to him
"Are you fucking insane?" She yelled out as I turned towards her and gave her a two thumbs up.
I caught up to Jungkook, stopping right in front of his converse shoes, panting like there was no end. He looked up at me with a blank expression, and I plopped right next to him on the damp grass.
"What do you want?" He spat and I shut my eyes.
"Can we talk?" I asked and he stared at me to continue. "Look, I'm sorry for calling you desperate and making you feel like you're a bad person. I understand you really love Haeun and you're only doing that because of it."
"Are you done?" He looked like he was wasting time listening to me and I sighed.
"Look, I know you want to get her back." I began, before shrugging my shoulders, "and if there's anything I could do to show how much I'm sorry for saying those rude things to you.. I'll do it."
"You'll do anything?" He asked and I glanced at him.
Nodding my head, I replied, "anything."
He leaned back onto the grass, his back hitting against it. I looked at him as he stared up at the clouds, then back at me. A smirk was beginning to cross his lips and I felt myself get nervous.
"Be my girlfriend," he commanded. "My fake girlfriend."
I looked at him, biting my lip nervously. I didn't want to admit defeat, but this was practically one of the many ridiculous things that he has made as a decision or strategy.
"Are you fucking kidding me—"
"You said you'd do anything." He grinned, and I rolled my eyes.
"Fine," I sighed in defeat, "you know, for a hopeless romantic, you suck."
"Perfect!" He exclaimed, beginning to look determined. "Now, the only thing left is to wait for Haeun to become mine again, which I'm sure will happen."
"Alright, alright, lover boy, slow your horses." I stopped him, "that's not gonna happen in a matter of a day, you know that, right?"
"I do, therefore, we have to set up some rules and boundaries here." He smiled, cracking his knuckles as if he was getting down to business.
"Rules and boundaries?" He nodded his head as I scrunched my nose up and tilted my head in confusion.
"Rule number one," he began, looking at me, "I hate when people wear and borrow my clothes."
I burst out into laughter, "it's not like I'm going to wear your filthy clothes, anyway."
"Rule number two," he continued, "you have to do what you're told when you're in this fake relationship with me."
I sighed, "do I really have to kiss you?"
He nodded his head, "I know, my lips are really kissable it'll be hard to resist."
"Shut up, you're so full of yourself." I rolled my eyes and he chuckled.
"Rule number three and the last rule," he smirked, "don't fall in love with me."
I scoffed, "fall in love with you? Pssh, I hate you."
"You never know.." he grinned, shrugging his shoulders, "if the whole female gender on the school campus has fallen head over heels for me, than I would watch out if I were you."
"Haha, very funny." I pursed my lips into a line, saying sarcastically. "I wouldn't be in love with you even if you were the last man on earth."
"Alright, alright," he raised his eyebrows. "Whatever you say, just don't fall in love with me."
"I won't, trust me—"
"Because if you do, then you'll be fucked—"
"You mean we'll be fucked because this is a fake relationship and if one of us falls in love with the other then that only means that thisfake relationship won't be as fake anymore." I explained and he looked surprised at my rambling.
He smiled, nodding his head, "I'm glad you know."
"Did I forget to mention that I hate you to death?" I asked as he nodded his head.
"You did, actually." He chuckled, before shrugging his shoulders. "The feeling's mutual."
"Good, because whatever happens in this fake relationship, is fake. It'll never be real, I hope you know that." I reassured him as he smiled.
"Good, I'm glad you're ready." He bit his lip, offering his hand to shake. "No strings attached?"
I nodded my head, grabbing his hand, shaking it gently, "no strings attached."
