Chapter 11

I guessed the power was only temporary. This meant that I had to kiss Akihiko again to borrow his power. I knew that I needed to get stronger quickly. I didn't want to burden him with this. He already did a lot for me.

I contemplated on what he said. If I remembered correctly, he wanted to get stronger too, but not for his sake but for mine.

Was that even real?

I went on to training ground and did what he asked me to do. He was still on the back of my mind. I was unsure if leaving all by himself was a good idea.

I returned to our room, and he was still sleeping. I got ready for bed and stopped near Akihiko's bed to check up on him. He seemed to be doing well. As I turned towards my bed, Akihiko pulled my arm, and I fell onto his chest.

Harumi: Akihiko...what are you doing?!

Akihiko: Stay with me for the night.

Harumi: It's uncomfortable, and I have my own bed.

Akihiko: No, stay!

He wrapped his arms around me, and I couldn't leave. It couldn't be helped. He already locked me in. I couldn't escape so I stopped resisting.

There was something with Akihiko that I just couldn't resist. I longed for his warmth, his skin and his smell ever since that day. I also got accustomed to this feeling that I even started craving for it. After that incident, I thought that he wouldn't let me sleep with him anymore

I felt so comfortable that I had fallen asleep instantly.

The sun was shining bright as I opened my eyes. I was alone in the bed, and I could see Akihiko was already getting ready to start his day. I stretched and got up.

Harumi: Good morning, Akihiko.

I smiled at him with a positive attitude but he looked at me with an indifferent look.

Akihiko: Good morning.

He wanted to say something and stopped.

Harumi: What's wrong?

Akihiko: Nothing...um...were you scared last night that you crawled into my bed?

Harumi: No...I wasn't scared.

Akihiko: Is that so? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind...if you want to sleep with me that badly.

Harumi: It's not like that at all. You pulled—

Akihiko looked away and blushed. Then, I realized.

Harumi: Do you remember anything from yesterday? You said some things. I just want to make sure....

Akihiko: I don't remember anything. The only thing that I could remember was that I collapsed. Um...that's about it. My memories were hazy...I knew I was dreaming at some point, but I couldn't tell which was real or not. Did I say or do anything funny yesterday?

Harumi: Not really...

I looked away.

Akihiko: Hmm...I probably did something or had said something—just ignore it.

Harumi: Ah...okay.

Akihiko: Go get ready. You only have today to train. Sebastian will test your magical ability tomorrow. We have to discuss something—so hurry up!
