The problem with Alpha Ian

Chapter 1

"Well give me back my phone then we can talk" I say, holding my palm out.

He puts the phone in my hands. "Thank you, now we can talk. How can I help you?"

"Well I just wanted to know if you'd like to go out with me?" He asks.

"Um me?" I ask.

It's not that I think I am ugly or anything it's just I never get asked out. Gabriella and I look exactly the same except for our hair styles but Gabriella is the really popular one. She's the flirty and out going and I am the normal, music obsessed one.

"Yes you Isabella" he chuckles.

I shake my head "I'm sorry but no"

He looks taken back "Why not?"

"Sterling, we'll both find our mates soon. I don't know about you but I am going to wait for him just as I expect him to wait for me" I say.

I go to an all werewolf school so we all knew about mates and stuff.

"We could find our mates years from now" Sterling points out.

I shrug "I don't care how long it takes but I am waiting for mine. I think the least he deserves is to be the first in everything. You should think about it Sterling, why do you want to fool around when your one true soulmate is somewhere out there in the world"

He nods and looks down shamefully "I can't control what you do but i'm just saying to think about it"

"Okay" he says, looking down shamefully "It's true. I'm sorry"

I shrug giving him a grin "It's alright Sterling. Now hurry up because I am hungry"

He gives me one last smile then starts grabbing what he is going to eat.

When its my turn I quickly grab a cheeseburger with a bag of doritos and a bottle of OJ.

I walk to my table and greet my friend Zoe.

"Hey Zo, how's it going?"

"Eh, it's alright I guess. How about you Bella?"

"I'm good, Sterling just asked me out which was weird but other than that everything is normal"

"You said no right?" Zoe asks sitting up straight.

Zoe, like me believes mates should be each others first everything.

"Of course I said no."

"Good, I don't know how people could be with someone who isn't their mate" Zoe says shaking her head.

"I've asked Gabriella that hundreds of times and she just says she wants have fun before she settles down"

"That's not an excuse"

I shrug "I just feel bad for the mates of the guys she sleeps with."

"I do too, also for her mate" Zo says.

"She will be great to her future mate, she is just a little wild at the moment" I say.

Zoe shrugs "If you say so"

I ignore her comment and say "I can't wait to find my mate. Catherine found hers last week and she told me that it's the best feeling ever"

Zoe sighs dreamily "My mate will be perfect" the stops and sits up straight "Did you hear?"

I put my burger down "What happened?"

"Alexander rejected his mate, everyone has been talking about it" She informs me.
