Chapter 2: Goodnight, princess

My mom was so happy about the events that happened when I met my cousin. And she's willing to meet and have fun with Vince and my Dad's sister, Janna.

Janna and my mom used to be friends when my mom and dad were still dating, and my dad's parents still didn't know about their relationship, only Aunt Janna knew. But when their parents heard about them, they threatened my father that they will disown him and he will never get even a penny from them. And that's when my dad decided to disobey them and leave their house with my mom. They never get in touch with them since then, even with Aunt Janna.

After talking to Mom while eating dinner, I get ready to bed.

What? It's my wedding tomorrow I need a beauty rest.

After drying my hair, I lay on my bed and decided to call Drake, my soon-to-be-husband. I dial his number but he's not answering. I frown.

Maybe he's taking a shower? Yeah, maybe. But it's 9:00 pm, he usually took his shower at 8:00.

I dialed it again and finally got an answer on my 2nd attempt. I smiled.

"Hey babe. Where are you? I was calling you since forever." I said exaggeratedly and laughed. I heard him sigh before answering.

"Uhmmm I just came back from the kitchen. I left my phone in bed."

What? No "babe" ? I thought to myself.

"Oh. Anyways I just miss you babe and I can't wait for tomorrow. Okay, I'm gonna hung up now . I need to rest, I need to be beautiful tomorrow for you babe. I love you so much Drake. Always remember that. Goodnight babe." I waited for him to answer. I heard some shuffling and crumpling of something like papers at the background.

After a few minutes I guess, he answered with a husky voice "Goodnight, princess."

I smile on the phone as if he can see me before I hung up.

Princess, I'm his only princess.

I yawned and closed my eyes with a smile etched on my face. Tomorrow is when all my dreams will come true.
