"Ha, sorry, I keep forgetting you're still human."
"Shut up, loser. Hey, by the way, since we're on the topic - do you plan on coming out of the closet anytime soon? And I don't mean the Lost and Found closet."
Yeah, we all know what you do in there.
Jackson glared at me before sighing and rubbing his temples, "And there's another problem to worry about: the pack. Justin wants to come out together - he says he's ready - but he has no idea what it's like for me. He's just some regular wolf in his pack, I'm an Alpha. People expect me to lead the pack with a Luna by my side and have pups with her. And, like I said, homosexuality and werewolves don't mix. If there's no historical record of gay werewolves, I highly doubt the Gold Claws will have any idea how to handle a gay Alpha. I mean, even if they say they accept me - which they'll pretty much have to - are they really going to respect me? I'll just be this giant disappointment to them - the gay Alpha who doesn't have a Luna and won't be able to carry on his bloodline. I'll never be respected - I'll be a joke."
Fake-brother had a point. Shitty Werewolf Wattpad novel had shitty Werewolf society. Even though it shouldn't be a problem, realistically, it probably would. One-dimensional characters of the Gold Claws - seriously, that name is ridiculous - wouldn't have a clue how to handle an Alpha who didn't growl, "mine" all the time and prey on helpless, rare white wolves.
"You know, Jackson," I turned to give fake-brother my best imitation of my mother's scolding look, "I'm disappointed in you. I mean, I probably would've expected this from Skylar. Hell, I probably would've expected it from anybody but you. I mean, you waltz into every room with your 'I'm-so-badass' attitude and 'I-don't-give-a-shit-I'm-in-charge' persona - only to hit me with this shit. Seriously?"
Jackson growled, "What the hell are you talking about, Cal?"
I narrowed my eyes, "Here's the fucking honest truth, Jackson. You're right. The minute you out yourself, they'll probably be extremely uncomfortable with it. They might not say anything to your face because you're the future Alpha, but they won't know how to handle it. They'll probably stereotype the hell out of you, and with all these stupid misconceptions going on, they'll probably think you're a weak leader too. But you want to know what disappoints me? Well, firstly, is the fact that you seem to associate respect with your title. Respect is fucking earned, not given as your birthright or attached to a title. What disappoints me is that you seem to take this with a 'lay down and give up' attitude instead of as a challenge. You want to prove yourself as a leader? Then you put it all out for them, watch them handle it poorly and think you're weak, and then when it comes time for you to take the Alpha Title, you take every one of those misconceptions, prove them false and then you fucking earn their respect as a good Alpha."
Seriously, someone get me a freaking podium because I'm running for President.

That's right, Donald Trump, take a seat because I'm slaying over here.
Jackson stared at me with narrowed eyes, "Okay, three things: one, watch your fucking tone. Two, as much as it pains me to say, you're right. And, three, when the hell did you get so fucking wise? I don't know what the hell is happening, but lately, you just seem really involved with all this werewolf shit. You didn't used to be like this. You hated whenever we talked about werewolf stuff, but now, it's like you're super involved - the whole thing with Skylar, and now giving me advice? Honestly, Cal, what's up with you?"
I'm just an imposter who is posing as your sister.
You know, no big deal.
"Well, I guess you could say I just feel like a whole new person."
Cue the inside joke smirk here.

Author's Note:
I know, it's short and it took longer to update, but I have a few things I'd like to say.
First of all, this was an incredibly hard chapter to write for me and I rewrote it several times before I felt like it was at it's best. Also, I really hoped I captured Jackson's struggles realistically. I did some research on homosexuality before writing this, and I hope it paid off. Tell me what you guys think. I promise not to cry if you tell me it's terrible.
Secondly, I know this is a filler chapter. I thought about extending it, but this is a really good place to leave it because the next chapter is pretty important.
Thirdly, the next chapter is important. Why? Because it's going to set the scene for someone to come in that I know we've all been waiting for - Harry St- I mean, Alpha King Mason. That's right, teenage girls and occasional male reading this, he's entering the book VERY soon.
Well, that's all. Thank you for all the support! Your comments and votes mean the world to me and inspire me to keep writing! :)
