20 Seconds Too Long

I can't get you out of my head

I think back to the things that you said

So I lie awake since I can't go to bed

And wish i'd told you

before you were dead.

But it's too late, I waited too long

I was never the person to be strong

The 20 seconds I wished for are gone

Because I waited 20 seconds too long.

You were shot a little after dawn.

And now i'm laying here in this bed,

Wishing i'd told you

before you were dead.
