Chapter 6

Everyone looked shocked from what Josh had said, but they all had it coming. Thankfully, Mike decided not to argue any longer and just give into him. "Yeah, yeah, alright. Wanna go do that?" Mike said with his hand held out to Jess.

"Anyplace without that whore." Jess grabbed Mikes hand, now walking out.

I smiled at Josh, thanking him for calming it down, who quickly returned it. I wish his smile was enough, I felt my old habits wanting to come back to me. I couldn't take it anymore, I ran into the kitchen and pulled out a small bag of my emergency, already chopped morphine, along with a straw.

I was about to take it, when Josh walked in behind me, "Bella, what are you doing?" He said shocked, seeing my like this for the first time.

"Josh, it's not what it looks like...its just a little of...my own meds." I tried to explain, but he knew very well what I was doing.

"Bella, are you really taking morphine?" He questioned walking up to me.

I felt ashamed of myself, and I expected him to be mad, but he wasn't, he just took the small straw out of my hand and wrapped his arms around my torso, pulling me into him.

"You're...you're not mad?" I stuttered.

"I'm upset. Why didn't you tell me about this? I could've helped you." He said softly, rocking me back and forth.

"I was suppose to be supporting you, not the other way around. I hate myself for losing them, and we weren't even related. I can't imagine how you feel." I replied, sharing the same soft tone he used.

"At least you tried to get them back, I was to screwed up to even go after them." He sighed.

"Josh, how were you suppose to know that was going to happen? None of us did. I know, we shouldn't have drank that much, but it's to late now.." A single tear dripped out of my eye.

Josh, now turned to me, placed his hand on my cheeks and wiped away my tear with his thumb. I smiled softly, holding onto his arms. He slowly pushed his warm lips against mine, my lips curved into a smile while we continued to kiss. His lips were soft and warm, his tongue traced my bottom lip. Trust me, I wanted to deepen it, but I remembered where I was and what was on the counter. I pulled away, fearing someone else would come in and find the drug on the kitchen counter.

"Can I just have the one line?" I begged Josh, still holding onto him.

He sighed, "Just that one line. I'll make sure no one else comes in." He agreed thankfully.

I smiled, and quickly did what I needed while he watched the door.

"Let's go back." I said after quickly dusting off the counter.

We walked back into the peacefully quite room, but sadly, with Emily, there's always something. She of course found anything to complain about, this time it being her bag.

"Comon Hun, we'll be back soon." She coaxed Matt into going back down to the cable car station.

"And then we can get warm?" Matt sighed.

"Very warm." And with that, they finally left.

"Alright, well I'm gonna go take a bath. You alright Bells?" Sam asked before getting up.
