[DISCONTINUED] Entangled in the Strings of Fate ~ Attack on Titan (Levi x OC)

14. Incidents... Accidents?

"Squad leader, please calm down!"Behind Hanji, Moblit tried to comfort her however to no avail. Aile suddenly pushed him aside and bent down. Moblit was expecting Aile to hit Hanji, but he was wrong; Aile gently stroke Hanji's back instead.

Hanji noticed her doing it, and suddenly turned around and grabbed her shoulder. "Aile! Sonny... Bean... they, they!!" "I know that." Aile narrowed her eyes to her, looking sternly into Hanji's teary eyes.

Hanji stopped sobbing for a second, then collapsed to the ground. "There, there..." Aile rubbed Hanji's back as the woman started crying again.

-Some hours later, around the old Survey Corps HQ building-

"I can't believe her..." Gunther glanced at Hanji from the corner of his eye. "She cried like a crazy woman this morning... but now she's giggling excitedly..." "Now you agree with me, don't you?" Oluo too glanced at Hanji.

"Hanji is always quick to regain her composure," Aile commented, catching the two's attention. "Well, she has to. And everyone in the Survey Corps should be able to be like that."

'No, thank you...' Oluo and Gunther inwardly declined.

"Alright, Eren. Transform into your titan form after we shoot the signal," Hanji said to Eren. She and Levi were standing near a dried well, while Eren was inside the well. As they had promised before, they were going to do experiments with the help of Eren.

Eren nodded. "Understood!"

Levi and Hanji nodded before walking to their horses. Hanji readied her signal flare, and released a green signal to the sky. However, after some moments nothing happened. "What took him so long?" Levi frowned while Hanji blinked in wonder. "Maybe he didn't see the signal...?" Hanji guessed.

The two dismounted their horses and went to the well. "Eren! Is there something..." Hanji stopped her words midway and widened her eyes. "Hanji-san..." Eren looked up, his hands were drenched in fresh blood. "I... couldn't do it..."

"...Tsk, so you're saying you couldn't use that ability of yours?" Levi glared coldly at Eren after Eren had gotten out from the well. "I don't want any reason; you have to do it. This is an order!" he demanded before he walked away.

"Yes..." Eren murmured slowly.

"Cheer up, Eren," Aile smiled a little as she bandaged his hands. "It's okay to fail once or twice. There's still plenty of time!" "No... failure should not be an option..." Eren sighed heavily.

Aile curled her eyebrows in disagreement as Eren hung his head.

"Aile-san is right, Eren." Eld commented. "There's no need for you to rush." he continued, which earned nods from Gunther and Oluo, who were sitting across them. Meanwhile Petra was talking to Levi, trying to calm him down.

Eren blinked in wonder.

"There, it's done." Aile remarked with a smile. "Oh, thank you, Aile-san," Eren looked at her bandaged palms and blushed slightly. Aile nodded as Eren diverted his gaze from the woman. Feeling awkward, Eren took a spoon on the table, but then dropped it from his hand. "Ow!" He winced in pain.

"Are you okay, Eren?" Aile asked Eren in concerned tone. "Do you need help?" "Uhm, no! D-Don't worry, I can do it myself!" Eren stammered. Across him Oluo rolled his eyes.

"Is that so? But at least let me help you this one time," Aile took her spoon on the table, "Here, you can use my spoon." she outstretched the spoon to Eren.

Eren stared at that spoon for a while, then smiled sheepishly to her, "Um... sure then..." he eventually nodded which made Aile smiled happily. "Here you go!"

Eren nodded again. He proceeded to take the spoon from her hand, but he suddenly felt a strange sensation. "...Huh?"

FLASH!

A large yellow thunder suddenly struck Eren, sending everything around him flying. It all happened in a sudden; even it was enough to shock Levi.

"Wha? W-Why now?!" Eren stammered in panic. He looked at his right hand, noticing a large flesh was attached to it, forming a large arm and a hand that was clenched. He widened his eyes in horror; not because of the skinless arm, but because the hand was holding a woman.

"A-Aile-san!!" Eren exclaimed horridly.

The woman in Eren's transformed hand was indeed Aile. "Aile-san!" Eren called her again, but the auburn-haired woman didn't budge.

Suddenly something moved really fast in front of Eren. Immediately after that, the fingers which were rounded around Aile were cut into bits, releasing Aile from its hold. "Ah!" Eren exclaimed, however something suddenly landed beside him, surprising him into closing his eyes. When he opened his eyes, a pair of cold silver eyes were glaring at him.

"...Ah..." Eren's face instantly turned horrified. The owner of those eyes were none other than his captain, Levi. Levi's expression was stoic, but Eren could tell that his glare were filled with blood lust and absolute anger. At that time the only thing that Eren had in mind was: he was going to die.

Levi raised his right hand, which was holding a blade. Eren braced himself as Levi swung the blade, however the blade wasn't directed to Eren; it was directed to his right hand. "Gah!!" Eren screamed in pain as the blade mutilated his right hand, thus disconnecting it from the transformed flesh.

Not only that, after that Levi raised his foot and kicked Eren right in the face, causing Eren to fall from there. The poor boy fell onto the grass, hitting hard the back of his head in result.

"Ugh..." Eren groaned in pain. The blur sight of Levi sheathing his blade was the only thing he saw before losing consciousness.

(A/N: Whoa, so many violence here... I'm sorry, Eren. And sorry, Aile... uwaaah, I didn't know why but that just randomly popped in my mind!
