***Peeta's POV***

I walk up to the door of Mackenzie's, the same place I dropped her off last Friday before I went to the airport. Its a home in the country and it's big, bigger than my parents house which I suppose makes sense. She works in a doctors office and he is a lawyer, at least that's what she said. I ring the doorbell and wait for an answer, only to find her husband instead of herself.

"Hi. Are you Peeta?" He asks.

"I am, and you are?" I never knew his name.

"My name is Kevin, would you like to come in?"

"No, I just want Libbie." I say, crossing my arms with no indications of moving.

"Oh, alright let me get them." He closes the door and a few minutes later it opens again. Mackenzie is standing right behind Libbie who has a small suitcase with her. Her book in her hand.

"Dad." She says quietly before hugging me.

"Hey kid." I hug her back. "Why don't you go to the car and wait for me, alright?" She nods and releases me, running down the driveway and towards my car that I left on. When I hear the door shut I look back at Mackenzie.

"What did she do all weekend?" I ask her getting right to the point.

"She stayed in her room and read, we went shopping, got a few tho he got her bedroom, and out to eat a few times."

"You seem pretty sure you will win court if you are already putting a room together for her."

"My husband is my lawyer, and he has never lost a case. So yes I am very sure." She smirks and I wish I could hit her.

"Again, good luck." I turn around and walk down the driveway. God knows what I would do if I had to talk to her any longer. I'm in the car and putting it in park before I notice something in Libbie's ear, the car coming to a sudden stop.

"What is that?" I ask, reaching my hand out and touching the earring.

"She took my to get my ears pierced."

"I told you that you couldn't get them pierced until you were 15." I say. We have had this discussion a few times and she knows how I feel about it.

"I didn't plan on it. We were at the mall looking for stuff and we passed the shop where they pierce ears, all I wanted to do was go in and look at the earrings like I do with you. Then she asked if I wanted them done and when she said yes I just assumed she had talked to you." I look back at Mackenzie, waving from her front door. I pull out of the driveway the rest of the way before responding to Libbie.

"Listen to me, she hasn't and will not talk to me about things like that so don't assume. You ask me and your mom and we will figure it out."

"Which mom?"

"At our house." I say. She really had to ask which mom?

"Okay, I'm sorry dad. If we take them out they will close up." She tells me. I give her a small smile.

"It's alright sweetie, don't worry about it. We were actually going to surprise you for your birthday a year early." I spill. Katniss and I had agreed she couldn't get them done until she was 15 but then we started noticing some other teenage girls her age had them and we wanted to surprise her.

"Aw, well thank you anyways." She says smiling.

The Next Day

"That woman is ruining everything, she is doing exactly what Elijah's dad did." I rant to Finnick. We haven't seen much of each other lately, ever since I've not been at the school it's been harder to find time when we aren't busy.
