I run countless miles to find her . Day becomes night and all I can do is follow her trail even though it is fading fast from me. I run until I see a small fire. I watch from the shadows to see who has made the fire. No one is moving so I creep from the shadows and walk closer to it. As I get closer I see her lying down curled on her side . She must have started the fire so she wouldn't have to sleep in the dark. I picked her up like a small child and I placed her in my arms . She snuggled into me as if she knew she was safe now. I looked down at her tired face with deep purple smudges under her eyes. I could tell she was exhausted and that she ran as far as she could for as long as she could. I was so happy to finally know she was wrapped in my arms safe and locked away from the world. Atleast until she thought she would be able to handle it again. With that final drowsy thought I faded into a deep peacefull sleep with Alice in my arms.
