~Chapter 8~ The Question

Jen POV

After I left the Dog park, I was wondering if I should still do what I was planing to do. I decided to hold off for a little bit. I walked into school. Pat smiled at me. God, I wish I could smile back. I entered Math class and sat down. It was a test. Great. I tried to do the best I could. I ended up getting 90/100! I was happy that my grades were improving.

~1 Month Later~

I was meeting Pat at the normal park this time. This is the first time we've met up without the Dogs. He said he wanted to talk to me. We had been going to the park for a few weeks now. I've held off what I was going to do. Pat had really changed my life, and I'm glad for it. I saw Pat. He waved to me.
"Hey Pat" I said, sitting next to him in the bench.
"You okay Jen?" He asked. I nodded. He nodded back.
"Jen... I've really enjoyed hanging out with you... Um.. Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked. I sat frozen. He.. Likes me?... But who could like me?.. But I liked Pat as well, just too much of a wussy to admit it.
"Sure, I'd love to be your girlfriend" I replied. He smiled at me. Damn, I really wish I could smile back, but I can't.
"Do you want me to walk you home?" He asked. I just nodded in return. He got up, and so did I.

Pat POV

I'm glad she said yes! I offered to walk her home, which she excepted. I smiled and got up. She'd been awfully quiet and shy lately, so I thought she was starting to dislike me. We walked down the quiet path. Then I felt a hand grab mine. I realised Jen was holding my hand. I smiled and continued walking. I'd never seen her house before, and she'd never seen mine before. I walked her up to the front door.
"Jen. Do you want to come to my house tomorrow?" I asked. She nodded. Then her cheeks went red.
"Can I have your address?" She said quietly. I nodded and gave it to her.
"Thanks" She said. "You should go Pat. My parents don't know I have a boyfriend" She explained. I nodded.
"Are you going to tell them?" I asked.
"I might as well" She sighed.
"Want me to come in with you?" I asked.
"No!" She yelled. "Sorry I didn't mean to yell. Bye Pat" She said.
"It's alright, cya tomorrow" I replied, and walked off.

I wonder why she didn't want me to come when she told her parents?...
