Tee and Trunks

Pibi looked at him.

"Nasan sila?" Pibi

He could feel the heat on his face. Pakiramdam nya nga pulang-pula sya ngayon.

"Ehem." He cleared his throat first. "Na-Nasa-labas...ka-kasamaniIran." Pambilis na sagot nya habang nakatingin sa may bintana.

"Nate? May sakit ka ba? Bat ang pula mo?" Pibi stood up and walked towards him.

"Wala." He snapped.

"Sus patingin nga ng temp mo." Yumuko si Pibi para hawakan ang noo nya, since nakaupo sya sa sahig.
Todo iwas sya, todo lapit naman si Pibi sa kanya.

"Sinabi na ngang wag na, wala naman akong---" then his eyes landed on her neck, tapos pababa. Pibi's wearing a huge shirt, kaya maluwag rin yung sa may neck part ng damit. Kita na nya yung loob.

"Shit." He couldn't looked down. Pink na floral bra. Alam nyang matagal bago nya makakalimutan ang moment na yon. First nya nakakita ng--- shut the fuck up Nathan. He told himself.

"Anung-" she followed Nathan's gaze and saw her own bra. Pibi realized what's happening. "Shitbrix." She mumbled as she stood up to turn her back to Nathan. Napahawak tuloy sya sa noo nya, tapos yung isa nyang kamay sa bewang.

Walang makareact sa kanila.
THIS. IS. FREAKING. AWKWARD. they both said to themselves.

Hindi nila alam kung ilang minuto ba silang ganon. Pero hindi rin nakatiis si Pibi.

Kahit pulang-pula pa rin sya, humarap sya kay Nathan na nkatayo na at nakatitig sa sahig.

"Nate-"

"Sorry-"

Nagkasabay pa sila.
Then awkward silence ulit.

"Let's just forget about this pwede ba?" Pibi wiped the sweat on her forehead.

Nathan stared at her.

"Sige. Sorry ulit." Nathan said in an apologetic tone

"It's actually my fault... Hindi ko kagad naisip na ganto yung suot ko--" She pointed her tee.

"Kain na tayo?" Pag-change topic ni Nathan.

"Sure. I'll just... Take a bath. I probably smell." She ran towards the bathroom.

Lumabas na rin si Nathan ng kwarto. He could still feel his heart beating so fast. Pati yata muscles nya nangangatal. Nagpabalik-balik sya sa sala at kusina. 10 minutes later paglabas ni Pibi sa kwarto, kalmado na sya.
Naka-usual jeggings at blouse na sya.

They ate in silence. Medyo awkward pa rin dahil dum sa nangyari kanina.

"Gusto mo makita yung burol?" Pibi asked just to pass the awkward phase.

Halata namang nagulat si Nathan. "Um. Yeah. Sure."

"Sige after natin kumain." Pibi smiled at him.

Pagkatapos kumain, lumabas silang dalawa. At pumunta dun sa may burol kung saan makikita ang kabayanan ng San Agustin.

The stood beside a mango tree, para hindi mainitan. They just stood there. Silently taking in everything. The view, the fresh air, the silence.

Nathan looked at Pibi, she was just staring on the endless land below them., while her hair is flowing with the gusting wind.
