Pietra's P.O.V
"Nico?" I poked my head out of the doorway, a towel wrapped around my body and the door pressed tightly against my neck, shielding a 'particular person's' vision.
"Nico?" I called out again, leaning out further from my window that was the half open door. My wet hair fell over my shoulders, dangling down and creating droplets on the floor. I couldn't see anyone in the room, and when I heard there was no reply, I secured my towel, opened the door, and made a run for my clothes which I had (wait for it...) surprisingly folded and put on the small sofa. I know, I had actually made an attempt to be organised- not that it really worked, I mean, I had left them on the couch, but whatever...
As I ran to the sofa, I could almost hear the dramatic music starting to play and everything going in slow-motion. Hot steam poured out of the bathroom door, that had been flung open by me, and my drenched hair flew out behind me, soaking everything with droplets of water.
Once I had reached my clothes (not before doing a commando roll on the floor and pretending I was a ninja, of course), I glanced back to the bathroom, which still had steam pouring out like it was a smoke machine. I then noticed the water that had flood the floor when I had accidentally directed the water nozzle the wrong way.
Don't judge.
Whatever, I'll just change here then.
I pranced over to the door that linked Nico room and mine, and kicked it shut, before rushing back to where my clothes were located and quickly pulling on some black underwear and a bra. I snatched up my dark blue ripped jeans, and quickly pulled them on. Then, upon noticing that there was no music playing (a monstrosity!), I grabbed my iPhone and started swiping through the songs. I chose Let it all go (You guys thought I was gonna say 'let it go' from Frozen, didn't you!), by Birdy and Rhodes, and put the volume up pretty loud. I then set my iPod down on my bed, and was about to turn back to putting my 'Sleep when I'm dead' shirt on, when-
"Hey Piet-"
Nico gulped, staring at me until I finally reacted.
"AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!! What the Hades, Di Angelo!!!"
He then turned bright red, and quickly turned back through the doorway, stumbling into his room, as I grabbed my grey tank top and slipped it on.
Thankful to now have a shirt on, I tried to stop the scene that was on replay in my head. It wouldn't stop, and soon, the pink tinge that had already settled itself on my cheeks turned to bright red.
I stumbled over to the bathroom, not caring about the water that was drenching my feet, and splashed my face with cold water. I then pat it dry with the soft and fluffy towels that were stationed next to the sink, and fanned my face. In the cloudy mirror, I could see my face turn back to its usual caramel colour.
I sighed in relief, and made my way out of the bathroom, shaking the water droplets off my feet. I quickly put on my brown combat boots, then grabbed my leather jacket and tied it around my waist. I then swung my backpack over my shoulder, and attempted a confident walk over to the door that connected our rooms. I grabbed the door handle, and wrenched the door open.
As it swung open, a dead weight dropped on me, and pushed me over. I fell to the ground and after a few seconds, I recovered from my surprise and opened my eyes. My vision consisted of Nico's blushing face, right over mine.
"What the Ha-"
"S-sorry! I-"
"It's okay, what were you ev-"
"I'm really sorr-"
"It's fin-"
"Sorry!"
"NICO! It's okay!"
He looked at me doubtfully, his cheeks still glowing like Chinese lanterns, and his bangs covering his eyes.
"I'm-"
"Oh my gods, if you say sorry one last time, I swear-"
"Sorry."
I shook my head, before pushing him of me, and pinching his ear hard. He grunted when he hit the floor beside me, and elbowed me in the ribs gently.
I ignored his hit, and blew my bangs out of my eyes. "What were you even doing anyway?" I asked him. He sighed, "I was just leaning on the door, waiting for you to come out, because, I didn't want to, um, to have another, um, incident."
I nodded my head, mentally smirking at his discomfort, then stood up, before helping Nico up as well. I picked up my backpack while Nico swung his over his shoulder, and then we made our way out of my room, down the stairs (Nico was being a wuss, and decided he didn't want to go down the elevator), and after whining and elbowing Nico, came into the lobby. I ignored 'Jessica', who wasn't looking too good after her night shift- her mascara and eyeliner was smudged beneath her eyes (she looked like she just got punched in the face), her lipstick faded and her bun looked more like a bird's nest. She was snoring loudly from her chair, feet propped up on the desk and heels fallen in front of the counter.
As we passed by the counter, I teased Nico, "Looks like your girlfriend has lost her Aphrodite charm!" He glared at me, while I grinned brightly back at him. "She's not my girlfriend." He muttered, and I barely heard it over the sound of the bear- sorry, Jessica- snoring. "Sure, sure..." I rolled my eyes and he elbowed me in the ribs.
