"Hermione, I don't really feel like going into Hogsmeade today, I'm gonna stay in the castle with Harry." Ron told Hermione.
"But you said we could go to the Shrieking Shack!" Hermione protested.
"I will next time, I promise."
"But I don't want to go on my own!"
"Don't go then!"
"But I need to get a few things!"
"Then stop being a wimp and go!"
"Fine!" Hermione snapped and stormed off with the other students who were filing out of the door.

The Shrieking Shack sure did look just as creepy as it had been described in the books Hermione had read about it. She stood leaning against the fence surrounding it, looking up at the haunted house.
"Where are your friends, Granger? Didn't want to participate in one of your boring, historical adventures?" said a cold voice that Hermione recognised as soon as she heard it.
"If it's so boring, Malfoy, then why are you here?" she countered through gritted teeth.
"Same as you. Nothing better to do."
"I have better things to do than talk to you, Malfoy, so if you don't mind, I'll just be leaving."
But before Hermione had walked away, Draco grabbed her wrist.
"Wait!" he cried, "Don't go just yet."
"Why?"
"I don't know, I just..."
"You just, what?"
"I don't know..."
"You're wasting my time, Draco."
Hermione tried to leave again, but Draco tightened his grip.
"Please." he said.
Hermione sighed. "What?"
"I just wanted to apologise for being so awful to you."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Wow."
"What?"
"It's just... Do you want to go and get a butterbeer?"
Draco smiled. "I'd like that."
