Yoonchae's phone lit up with a ping. She put the book she had been reading aside and grabbed her phone from her bedside. The book Yoonchae was reading was "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio.
She received a text.
"Can I come over?"
Megan.
Yoonchae and Megan had been together for a solid 2 years. It had been one of the happiest 2 years Yoonchae had ever had.
"I thought we'd gotten to the point where we didn't need to ask that question lol." Her fingers typed rhythmically.
Yoonchae had had several other girlfriends before Megan. But nothing like her. Megan was special. She had occupied a place in Yoonchae's heart that no one could ever take away.
"Yeah, I know, baby, but I still prefer to ask. I'll be there in 5."
Yoonchae quickly changed into different clothes. She put on a white shirt with some comfortable gray pants.
By the time she was done changing, there were 3 knocks on the door. She knew it was Megan. Not because Megan was the only person she was expecting, but also because she knew Megan's knocks. It was always 3 knocks, nothing more, nothing less. The first knock was always the strongest, the second one weaker, and the third even weaker.
Yoonchae ran down the stairs and opened the door. She stood there frozen, admiring her girlfriend's beauty. Megan was wearing a grey shirt and black baggy joggers. It was a casual outfit, but Megan somehow managed to make it look good.
Yoonchae drank in the sight of her girlfriend. The way Megan's hair would sit flawlessly on her, her whisker dimples that showed when she would grin, and her smile, her bright smile. God, her eyes- there was something about the way Megan looked at Yoonchae that made Yoonchae's heart flutter.
"I haven't even said hi yet, and you're already staring at me, chae." Megan giggled.
"It's just, you're so pretty and I-"
"Shut up and kiss me already," Megan smirked. Megan loved to order her girlfriend. Yoonchae didn't mind it, though.
"You're gonna have to get inside first; we don't want to traumatize the neighbors, now do we?" Yoonchae teased, a smirk forming on her face.
"They can watch; I don't care". Megan stepped closer to Yoonchae, her own lips hovering extremely close to Yoonchae's.
Yoonchae wasn't thinking anymore. She leaned in and kissed Megan, her hand slipping in the nape of Megan's neck. Megan's lips were soft, like pillows; pillows she wanted to rest her lips on for an eternity. Together they intertwined, Yoonchae pulling Megan closer as if her life depended on it. Megan's hands were lost in Yoonchae's jet-black hair, grabbing and tugging slightly, making Yoonchae groan in satisfaction. Megan took Yoonchae's bottom lip; meanwhile Yoonchae took Megan's top lip. They switched every couple of seconds, their breaths mingling together.
Megan pulled away, attempting to take a slight breather, but Yoonchae pulled her by her collar and brought her impossibly closer. A muffled sound dripped from Megan's lips, a sweet sound that Yoonchae loved. After a couple of minutes of passionate kissing, they finally pulled away, staring into each other's eyes.
"Hi," Megan whispered. Megan practically had stars in her eyes; she was gleaming at Yoonchae. To Megan, Yoonchae was an angel, an angel that had fallen from the sky and claimed her heart.
"Hey-" Yoonchae breathed. "-Do you wanna come inside now?" She said, motioning to the inside of Yoonchae's house.
Megan nodded, stepping inside. She loved Yoonchae's place; it was nice and cozy. Not too big, but not too small either. To Megan, it was her second home. She sat down on Yoonchae's couch. It was a nice, wide grey couch. It could probably fit 5 people.
