✦ This story is a bit of a slow burn so if you are the type to grow impatient, you may not enjoy this book. This is partly due to the story focusing on [Y/n]'s online interactions with the central yandere, so it will be a while before they meet in person. Don't worry though, the yandere will still be active throughout the early parts of the book. Just no face-to-face contact right away.
✦ The self-insert character has severe social anxiety and a distorted perception of themselves and world around them, making their thoughts and behaviour appear irrational and confusing at times. They will also have moments of suicidal ideation and self-deprecation that will occasionally bleed into the narrative (e.g. the narration may describe [Y/n] as looking hideous in the mirror but it is actually a reflection of how they personally feel). Basically nuance.
[Note: I'm not saying you can't criticise my depiction of [Y/n] or feel annoyed by them. All opinions are valid! I'm just giving you a friendly reminder that this is a 'Yandere x Anxious! Reader' story so be ready for that.]
✦ [Y/n] will be referred to by they/them pronouns so anyone of any gender can insert themselves into the text. If at any point I happen to slip up and misgender them (e.g. suddenly using she/her), please let me know so I can fix it as soon as possible!
✦ The central theme of the book is focused on the online world and, to some extent, being "chronically online." With that in mind, please brace yourself for potential discord-tier dialogue (some of [Y/n]'s online friends are a bit cringe). Also the main yandere of the story loves to spam emoticons in all his messages so if you're not ready for that, you'll HATE this book. But, I mean, let's face the facts here: both of us are using Quotev right now.
