wherein, hidden-relationship jenlisa have fun on a flight, and a stopover in london.

jennie and lisa had only been settled in their plane seats for about four minutes when jennie decided she'd just come up with an amazing plan. lisa'd been playing with the shutter on the window side when jennie tapped her knee.

"this flight is five hours, right? then a layover in london then another six hours?" she queried lisa, eyebrows furrowing in that cute way that made lisa's fingers feel restless- yet she'd just rolled her eyes instead. "you booked these tickets, not me. but yes, that's correct. continue."

jennie huffed loudly, readjusting herself in preparation for her amazing idea. "what if- once an hour, one of us records a thirty-second-long recap of the past hour like a little vlog?"

lisa turned her head slowly to jennie, hair falling out of place as she proceeded to give jennie the most impatient side eye possible. but the corner of her mouth twitched- jennie knew that meant she was about to laugh. "you think it's a good idea but you don't want to break your mysterious aura, am i right? you wanna do it, don't you?" jennie deadpanned.

lisa didn't even hesitate, just nodded once. "yeah, no- best idea you've ever had. i get the first vlog."

hour zero.

"look, this is jennie. jennie say hi!" lisa whispered loudly into her phone camera, leaning over to thrust it in jennie's face.

"hi."

"this was your idea! be nice. anyway, we're on a planeee, and all that's happened so far is taehyung's bought some chips, jennie's already taken the blanket and somi is curled up in her own seat across from us. she looks jealous." lisa spoke like she was a conspirator of some sort, in a movie about spies on planes.

jennie scoffed, nudging lisa lightly. "no... she looks tired."

"mhm. same thing. we will report back in an hour! bye!"

hour one.

"okay, hour one check-in," lisa whispered into her phone again, voice pitched like she was narrating a wildlife documentary. "so far, jennie has eaten exactly six pretzels, folded her blanket three different ways, and glared at me twice for no reason."

jennie leaned into the frame, unimpressed. "one was for a reason."

"see? terrifying," lisa said flatly, zooming in dramatically on jennie's blank stare.

jennie rolled her eyes but snatched the phone out of lisa's hand. "okay, my turn. update: lisa just spent thirty minutes playing sudoku on easy mode."

"HEY!"

"bye!" jennie said sweetly into the camera before cutting it off.

hour two.

the video opened with jennie's face filling the frame, lips pressed tight to keep from laughing. she didn't say a word- just slowly tilted the camera down to reveal lisa, completely knocked out, head nestled against jennie's shoulder with her mouth parted slightly in sleep.

it had been like this for maybe twenty minutes, and she'd been afraid to move a single muscle since. she loved seeing lisa so unguarded.

jennie widened her eyes at the camera, teeth sinking into her bottom lip as she did a silent, over-the-top scream, shoulders shaking from holding it in.
