Chapter 1:The Night She Shouldn't Have Seen

12 1 1

The rain was falling heavily that night.

The entire city looked different under the darkness. The bright lights of the roads were hidden behind the drops of rain, and the cold wind made everyone want to stay inside their homes.

But there was one girl who was standing alone on an empty street, holding her bag tightly against her chest.

Alina Ahmed.

A twenty-four-year-old girl who always believed that life was simple.

Work hard.
Stay away from trouble.
Trust only a few people.

But sometimes life doesn't ask for permission before changing everything.

And that night...

Her life was about to change forever.

Alina looked at her phone screen for the tenth time.

"No network?" she whispered in frustration.

She looked around the empty street.

The driver who dropped her here had already left, and the place where she was standing was completely unfamiliar.

She cursed herself for accepting her friend's request.

"You should have waited for me," her friend's words echoed in her mind.

But she was already late, and she thought she could manage.

She never knew that one wrong decision could bring her face to face with danger.

Wrapping her shawl around herself, Alina started walking.

The sound of her heels mixed with the sound of rain.

Step.

Step.

Step.

Until suddenly...

She heard something.

A man's voice.

"You thought you could betray me and walk away?"

Alina stopped.

Her heartbeat became faster.

The voice came from the old warehouse beside the road.

She knew she should leave.

Every instinct inside her was telling her to run.

But curiosity made her take one step closer.

Just one step.

And that one step changed her entire life.

The broken window of the warehouse gave her a clear view of what was happening inside.

Several men were standing there.

And in the middle of them...

A man was sitting on a chair.

His black shirt was slightly wet because of the rain, his expression was emotionless, and his eyes held something dangerous.

Power.

Fear.

Control.

Alina had never seen someone like him before.

The man standing in front of him was shaking.

"Zayan, please... listen to me."

The name caught her attention.

Zayan.

The man sitting there looked at him without any emotion.

"You had one job."
