Hey everyone my name is Aliyah, I've been an author here for a while. Buttt the stories I wrote in middle and highschool were super toxic and abusive, now as a new adult I don't want to spread that around and call it romance, I'm a bit embarrassed how popular some of those books got, I took all of them down except Bad bitch (Which I probably will soon) but, yeah.

I love writing and art, and have a few projects going on. If you've read some of my stories like Ravage or Chocolate for the mafia then you know you guys showed up and showed out for me and I am really greatful! They are in the midst of being turned into a webcomic on platforms like webtoon and instagram. I'm so excited for you guys to see what I have planned. This book has also been in the works for a little while but because I wrote it on a different profile that I got locked out of it took a while for me to re-write it. I decided to change the story a bit but this one will also be turned into a webtoon depending on how it does.

I have a schedule when I will release chapters, since I am a lash tech and also have a full-time job updates outside of that will be pretty difficult. But definitely feel free to leave your thoughts :) I just wrote this to give you guys a little intro to myself and the book, enjoy!

Concrete is like a weight on your chest, it covers the flourishing nature. It smothers the life out of the land effectively killing everything it covers. It leaves no room for growth, and stalks its way into new un-charted realms to devour like a predator of the night. Nature fears the concrete, it tries staying away from the destructive black abyss. But the concrete flower is resilient, it finds an opening and pushes through an unbreakable wasteland and it flourishes and thrives. The concrete flower is beautiful and she can't be turned away or swayed. There is something ancient in her presence as if she knew something the rest of the world didn't. Sorrow had touched her certainly, but it had not diminished her; it had only deepened the alluring glow she seemed to radiate. Her laughter lingered like perfume in an abandoned room, and her silence held the weight of untold stories.

Morgan slugs his book bag over his shoulder, it was winter quarter and it was muggy outside. His parents were out for vacation so it was just him. That was how he liked it though, without them there was no pestering about law school and interning at the firm to get into a good one. Just peace and quiet and the soft pattering of rain on the windows. He made a warm cup of coffee and toasted bagels. He checked the time and his eyes widened. It was 7:50 and class started in 10 minutes. Running out to his car he hops inside, Morgan pauses for a moment to put on his music- no matter how late he couldn't drive without music. The drive was estimated to be 20 minutes, but he would do impossible and allegedly illegal maneuvers to get there on time.

The class bustled as the teacher entered the room, the students exchanged social media and talked about the degrees they were pursuing. The teacher was a tan man with a bald head, dressed in a regular shirt and jeans, he could almost be mistaken for a student if it wasn't for him taking a seat in front of the class. He did not move to silence the class but instead patiently waited for them to notice  him, gradually students shushed each other pointing to the front and taking their seats. "Thank you all for settling down, my name is Dave. So you can call me Dave Mr.Dave whatever floats your boat we're all adults here. So-" he pauses as Morgan walks in with a bagel in his mouth. Morgan gives doesn't make eye contact and takes the seat closest to the door. Dave clears his throat, "So, I know that art classes are notoriously known for being quiet," he waves a hand limply. "Boring, chill etcetera. But I'd like for you to leave here with something whether or not you have an interest in art or you're just here for the credits. I'd like for you to build connections because during college and after they make a huge difference in your journey." The door opens again and in walks a beautiful girl that takes Morgan's breath away, his jaw literally drops causing the bagel to fall out of his mouth on the ground. He hisses, setting his bag down to lean over to pick up his sorry excuse of a breakfast. But he falters on the way up as she sits next to him, he's hit with the most amazing smell he's ever smelt in his life. He drops the bagel again cursing at himself for being so out of it today. The teacher checks his watch as he glances at the girl but says nothing for a moment. "So we're going to start with introducing ourselves to the person to our right of you and telling them about your morning. You have 10 minutes, I don't want to hear any silence- go".
