Anyway, Alisa was standing at her locker chatting with her "friends" when Risa comes walking past, presumably to go to the water cooler to grab a quick sip. As soon as Alisa sees her, she and her "friends" immediately walk over and block her way to the water cooler.
Risa rolls her eyes. "What are you guys doing? Seriously, this isn't one of those teenage movies where people just block the way of an innocent student and start questioning them or some shit. I just want to go to the water cooler, okay? Get outta my way."
One girl immediately gets out of the way and walks back to Alisa's locker (like I said, some people are scared of her), but when she sees that everyone else is still standing there, she runs back to stand beside Alisa.
Alisa laughs. It's that annoying bitchy laugh which makes me want to throw her into a pit of crocodiles. "Innocent student? You? That's funny. Aren't you the one who just threatened me yesterday?" She turns to her "friends" and says, "This bitch, Lerissa, actually threatened me yesterday! She said that she would... what was it again? Oh right, she threatened to ruin me!" With that, she starts laughing that annoying laugh again.
"Why would you do that?" asks one of the girls. (I think her name was Selina, or something, but I've never really bothered to care.)
"Because I believe that everyone gets what they deserve," answers Risa.
"If you fucking dare touch her, if she tells me, you're fucking dead, Lerissa," growls this guy named Calum, who plays soccer or lacrosse or something like that.
I laugh because he's got it all wrong. If anyone ever tries to mess with Risa, there's a 97.264927% chance that they will end up beaten up and crying for Mommy. I learned that from experience. After all, Risa is a complete nightmare dressed as a daydream. Did I just make a reference to a Taylor Swift song? Wait, what? Never mind. Back to their conversation.
Risa smirks at Calum or whatever his name is. "Not everything relies on violence, okay? There are some other methods which I can use."
That guy looks like he's about to punch Risa (which would be a very bad decision indeed), when Alisa tells her "friends" to go away and that she wants to settle the matter with Risa personally.
Once they're gone, Alisa turns to Risa and says, "Everyone gets what they deserve, huh? So I suppose everything you got, or didn't get, you deserve it all."
Risa rolls her eyes (again) at Alisa and replies, "Alisa, can you get to the point? Do you think this is a movie, or a book, or possibly one of those stories on Wattpad where a girl picks a fight with another girl and then they end up having a full-blown argument with lots of sassy and bitchy remarks? Because the last time I checked, this isn't one of those movies or books."
"Okay, fine. I wanted to get you all worked up so I could... wait, why am I saying this? Anyway, I know what will get you worked up!"
Risa lets out a bitter laugh. "And what might that be?"
Alisa smirks at her. "Andrew Martin."
Oh no she didn't.
Risa stares at Alisa, clearly shocked and speechless.
Before their conversation goes on, let me take time to explain who Andrew Martin is.
For a short period of time in Risa's life, he was to her what Jay was to me. I mean, they were only 12, or maybe 13, I don't remember, but Andrew and Risa are awfully mature, and they really liked each other.
Until one day, Risa walked into the classroom early because she had to collect a textbook she accidentally left there the previous day, when she walked in on Andrew making out with another girl. Yeah, I know what you're thinking.
Firstly, who makes out with someone when they're 12? Go play with your Lego or something. Secondly, Andrew knew how much Risa liked him. Yet he still went and kissed another girl. Douche. Thirdly, that is just wrong.
The girl ran off before Risa could see who it was, but Andrew just stood there staring at Risa with a weird look. Well, that was before Risa slapped him. She was about to kick him in the face too, but he ran off after that. He never came to our school after that, and we heard that he'd transferred away. Long story cut short, he made Risa feel like she was number one, and now Risa wishes she'd let out that nest of wasps on him.
"Why aren't you responding, Lerissa?" Alisa asks innocently. "Forgotten who he is?"
"Of course not," Risa replies bitterly.
As you can tell, Alisa is a master at hurting people. She knows everyone's weak points and how to ruin them, but then again, she only has one weak point --- her conscience. However, I'm not sure if she has one, so I guess I stand corrected. Forget I said anything.
"Right, because if I remember correctly, he cheated on you with another girl. Sad, isn't it?" Alisa asks sweetly.
"How do you know that?" asks Risa.
Risa has a point. How does she know that? Risa only told me a few months after what happened, and I'm pretty sure I was the only one Risa told.
Unless...
"How do I know that? Well, because I was that girl."
Risa just stands there open-mouthed, clearly dumbfounded.
Seeing Risa's reaction, Alisa smiles to herself and continues, "I made some arrangements. I took that textbook out of your bag and put in under your desk in that particular classroom. As for Andrew, all I had to do was simply-" Risa cuts her off.
"Why, Alisa, why? How can you be so cruel? You're nothing more than a stone-cold heartless bitch! All these years, I kept hating Andrew and blaming him, when you should have been the one I hated! Is it really that difficult for you to see other people happy? Why do you base your happiness off of other people's sorrows? I used to make up excuses for you to give you a second chance. To think that you would feel remorse for everything you've done. But damn, was I wrong. This is it, okay? This is the last straw." Having said that, Risa turns and walks away.
I see Alisa standing there with a smug look on her face, looking pleased with herself- but then for a split second, the smug look changes to a look of sadness and shock, as if she's realised what she's done- but then it changes back to a smug look again.
Wow. Did I really just see Alisa look sad, even if it was just for a moment? More importantly, what did Risa mean when she said that it was 'the last straw'? Whatever Risa has up her sleeve, it definitely can't be good. Guess I'll just have to wait and see...
