"It hurts so much" she cried into the phone.
It tore me apart when she was upset.
"He was blind. You deserve better than him." I tried.
"Sometimes I wish you were here." She said.
My heartbeat sped up and I swear I stopped breathing.
"Because your such a good friend and you know just how to make me happy, and I wish I could hug you, or show you how grateful I am." She said.
"You dont seem any happier."
"I am." She said, hanging up the phone, but even she knew that was a lie.

"My heart hurts." She hiccupped.
"You'll be ready one day to love again." I said.
"I want to find a Prince Charming..." She sighed.
"And he is out their waiting for his Princess." I said, biting my lip.
"Your making me smile." She said, her voice sounding chirpier.
"I have an idea." I said.
"What's that idea?" She asked.
"I'm going to send you tickets for our next concert... I want to dedicate a song to you." I said.
'So maybe you can understand my true feelings.' I thought.
"That would be great, I've missed you." She said.
"I've missed you too." I smiled.
"I'm going to have to go." She sighed.
"I'll see you at the concert?" I asked.
"Of course, I wouldn't miss a friend experience something they love." She said, hanging up.
And instantly my smile was gone.

"I dedicate this song to a..." I paused. "A very important, friend who has recently had her heart broken. And she's to beautiful to go through the pain alone." I said into the microphone.
"This is also off our album out soon." Michael said.

I scanned the audience for ______'s face. She was smiling as she stood with her friends, they were all talking and looking up at the stage...

She looked up at me through her eyelashes, before I crashed my lips onto hers.
