Origin Of The Valley
Trinity floated in the dark void. Fiddling with a dodecahedron in her light palms. Driving herself crazy as she was surrounded by thousands of alterations of the same world. Her rabbit ears filled with silence. The constellation of creation felt nothing but nibbling boredom from the inky black dotted with benign experiments. Every world she'd made so far had been so pleasantly plain. She demanded something to excite her. So with a flick of her hand she filled an empty part of the sky with stars, bringing light. Cracking her long neck Trinity cut her hand on one of the sharp stars. Letting it bleed out into the first of many new variables, a great storm at the center of the world. A hurricane of red wind and maroon crusted tentacles took root at the bottom. Then she built great stone caverns on top of the storm. Watching as its tentacles held the rock together tightly. Finally Trinity gently created a third layer to this new promising world. A grassy valley where life could frolic.
Her stars shimmered with sweat while she wiped her bright forehead. Smearing blood across it from her cut hand. Her ears drooped slightly. Even still she continued rolling out the world. Creating plenty of room for forests, deserts, mountains, lakes and fields. Making a lovely flat valley for her ideas to blossom. This experiment would be so very entertaining. In the thousands of years she'd existed this world would be the one to bring her life excitement again! This would be her favourite. This would make her forget about the thousands of other failed worlds floating around in her void. But entertainment requires characters. Speaking of...
She'd need leaders to watch over this world. A god of time, of land and of life. Two stewards to fill the valley with courage and invention. The very soul of the world itself personified into an avatar. And something to keep the gods and critters happy with their existence. She'd made these so many times before, maybe changing a couple parts of them would bring something fresh to this world. She laced her fingers and cracked her knuckles, there was a lot of work to do...
The Lonely One
Cheering roared loudly across the valley. A thunderous storm building from the throats of the many deer that called this world home. Their humanoid bodies dragged bountiful amounts of fruit and vegetables to the great lake. Smiles on their labouring faces as they sang out. The great Mount Gale overlooking the festivities. The gods all crowding at the peak. Getting themselves ready. In a couple hours it would be the eve of creation. Despite all this world had progressed, Trinity would soon be upon them again with new gifts. The gods would feast tonight, so they may be ready to welcome the new to their world. The deer meanwhile would bask in the wolf of soul. And his beautiful gift. So they may prepare the land for the new arrivals.
Dio sat alone by the great lake, curled up to the base of Mount Gale. Carving stone painfully with his claws. The wolf of harmony didn't bother looking out towards the party or the mouth watering pile of food. That was all for his siblings. Like every eve of creation. He was here, at the foot of a mountain, carving their visage into stone. He scowled under his hood at the busy work their eldest had forced on him. His three tails slumping. He'd done the crab, the bee, all five faces of the pufferfish, the two heads of the gator and as he finished scratching away some sharp edges the stork, surrounded by stars and watching over them all. Dio let his claw linger on the bird. His eldest brother Cereb was watching him even now. The father of time immemorial saw everything after all. Dio had made sure to get each pain staking detail just right. From his long slender beak to the placement of his seven eyes. Three on the face, two for the bends of his wings and two for the chest. He of course made the other carvings as accurate as he could. But Cereb had always demanded more of the wolf. He shook his head. He had one more addition to the bottom of the sculpt. His twin Gabriel. He shook his claw in an attempt to ward off the soreness. Before precisely chipping at the rock. Creating a crude shape that looked not too dissimilar to himself.
