This story is fictional and contains dark themes. This is a dark paranormal romance with Southern Gothic elements, magical realism, trauma, morally flawed characters, manipulation, obsession, exploitation, and choices that will not be comfortable for every reader.
This story takes place in and around a brothel during a harsh, ugly time period. It contains heavy themes including captivity, abuse, drugging, violence, sexual exploitation, government experimentation, war trauma, disability, grief, and toxic power dynamics. Reader discretion is advised. I have never really written on darker topics before, so this is all experimental. Mainly, I was just interested in writing a story that contains erotic content in it. It is my first original story, so I don't really know what I am doing. We'll see how this goes.
