"Why are you being such a pain!?" Sylvia plopped herself down on the couch, pouting. "We're seniors for crying out loud! We should be living it up! You should be living it up! Let loose!"

"I have no interest in going to a place that's so crowded," Keira replied. "It makes it difficult to concentrate." She sat at her desk typing vigorously on her computer. "Besides, the scent of sweat, body odors, cheap cologne, and alcohol does not give much of an appeal."

"My goodness! You aren't claustrophobic," Sylvia began to tick of her fingers, "you'll be too drunk to even think clearly, and far too loopy to even notice the unappealing smells. Please, sis!"

Keira sighed and stopped typing. "Sylvia, you know I despise the idea of parties and certainly the thought of indulging myself in alcohol." She glanced over to a still pouting Sylvia. She heaved a sigh. "All right, all right," she said, running her hand through her dark, wavy hair. She wore a tired expression as she looked over at Sylvia. "I suppose someone has to keep an eye on you," she paused, "seeing that your so called boyfriend would be wasted just as you will be."

"Hey! Kaleb's cute, sweet, and nice!" Sylvia defended.

"Yes, and so is a rabid squirrel." Keira pushed herself from her work desk and headed to her adjoining room, Sylvia in tow. Keira picked  up a book from her nightstand and began to walk out the room.

"What do you think you're doing?" Sylvia's voice drifted across the room. When no reply came she continued saying, "You can't go like that!"

A muffled, "Why not?" was her reply as Keira strode out into the hall, making her way downstairs.

Huffing, Sylvia marched towards Keira who was already on her way out of the house. "Don't even think of going out that door!"

Keira walked out the door.

"Keira!" Sylvia stormed out the door. "Get back here!" She looked over Keira's attire. "Ugh." She was wearing  black dress pants, a white fitted blouse, and a pair of black ballet flats. "It looks all business woman-y. You have to change!"

"I am perfectly content with what I'm wearing. Now get in the car Sylvia." Keira disappeared into the black Crysler 300. Keira patiently waited for Sylvia but seeing that she wasn't coming in the car anytime soon she rolled down the passenger window and told her, "Sylvia. It's either you get in this car now or we will stay home."

Sylvia glared at her but sighed in defeat and made her way into the car.

They arrived at Matt's house and parked along the street. Cars were strewn down the road all of them, of course, belonging to teenagers that have showed up for Matt's party.

As they walked up to the booming house Sylvia kept glancing over at Keira. "You know, by the looks you're giving me, it makes it seem like I'm the one dressing," Keira paused thinking of a word to use, "less." She decided. She gave Sylvia a knowing look as she took in her outfit.

A tight fitting top and a short skirt that flared out mid-thigh with strappy three inch heels. Keira shook her head at her choice of clothing and sighed.

"I don't see any problem with it," Sylvia replied. "I think it's far more appropriate than the girls in our school."

"True, true."

"Hey, there's my most favorite girls in the whole world!"

They both looked over to the door to see an already half-drunk Matt. Sylvia smiled and chirped, "Hey Matt!" She ran over to Matt, giving him a hug and a peck on the cheek before skipping into the house searching for Kaleb.
