Ice Angel

There was ice in your eyes,

Snowflakes slowly falling.

You flew through the skies,

when you heard me calling.

With icicle like fingertips

You brushed along my cheek.

You put one finger to my lips,

And whispered not to speak.

Chills raced down my spine,

as you gave me a frozen kiss.

Tears caused my eyes to shine,

as you melted into the abyss.

I’ll suffer to do as I was told,

I’ll wait for you on icy shores.

I won’t let my heart grow cold,

And I’ll melt the frost from yours.
