ドラゴンのサクサクなお菓子
Tenichi (天一) is alone in a canyon.
The air is thin, sharp enough to taste metal. Below, the river has carved its way for ages. Now only stones remain. Smooth and pale under the hard sun. Heat rises from the rock, pressing against her shins, her arms, the back of her neck where her copper hair gathers.
Not the smartest place to be alone.
But here she is.
She has been walking since morning. Her boots are dark brown, scuffed at the toes. They hold the memory of every step in their worn leather.
Now they rest.
She rests.
A rustle. Something's there.
A goat. Japanese serow. It stands among rocks that match its grey-brown coat. Its hooves grip the steep, impossible angles of this terrain. Its dark eyes, long and steady, hold the girl's gaze without flinch.
Tenichi tilts her head.
The goat does not.
They stare.
Still staring.
BOOOOOOM—
The goat bolts. Tenichi's gaze snaps toward the sound.
Purple.
Scaled.
Eastern.
Wrong.
A dragon soars through the canyon, crackling with purple lightning. It roars.
The sky should not be doing this.
She pushes aside the loss of the serow's quiet and descends to the alien spectacle afar.
Because of course she does.

Boulders rumble, tumble, and crumble.
Standing amid the wreckage is a figure with spiky white hair. His white coat-cape flutters as the world's laws break around him.
"SMAAAASH IT! L-DRAGOOOO!!"
L-Drago is a spinning top, apparently called a Bey in Japan. But Tenichi sees it mutate into a snaking purple dragon. Its maw rips apart six boulders with a single charge.
