Rain pounded against the hostel windows as Aarav dragged his suitcase down the empty corridor.
Room 207.
He pushed the door open.
Someone was already inside.
A tall boy was lying on the bed near the window, headphones on, completely relaxed.
As if he owned the room.
The boy opened one eye.
"You're late."
Aarav froze. "Who are you?"
The stranger sat up slowly and removed his headphones.
"Riyan," he said with a lazy smile. "Your new roommate."
Aarav's expression darkened.
"No one told me I'd be sharing."
"Life is full of surprises."
"I hate surprises."
Riyan laughed softly.
"Good. I like difficult people."
Ignoring him, Aarav placed his bag beside the second bed.
"Rule one," he said coldly. "Don't touch my things."
"Cute."
"Rule two. Don't disturb me while I study."
"Adorable."
Aarav glared. "Rule three—"
Riyan suddenly stepped closer.
Too close.
"What if I don't follow rules?"
For a second, Aarav forgot how to breathe.
Then he stepped back.
"Stay out of my way."
Riyan's smile softened.
"We'll see, roommate."
Thunder shook the building.
And inside Room 207...
something had already begun.
Who do you like more already — Aarav or Riyan?
Tell me in the comments.
