3rd POV
It was a chilly night in the city of Akat, Asia. Winter lingered on the city's doorstep, carrying with it biting winds that rattled the windows.
On the eastern side of the city stood a tall, pristine mansion. Tall white fences and a large gate.
Inside this mansion, was a woman who sat quietly in her office, reviewing a stack of documents. This woman was Saniyah Ali.
As she went about her hour, a sudden barrage of knocks shattered the once peacefull silence. Saniyah stiffened immediately.
She reached for the thick dictionary resting beside her desk before making her way to the door.
Each step echoed through the silent hallway, deepening the unease settling in her chest.
She hesitated for a moment before opening the door
As her had held the handle she whispered words of encouragement to herself.
The moment she opened the door, a man stumbled into view. Blood soaked his torn clothes, deep scratches and bite marks covered his body, and a vicious slash stretched across his chest. He looked as though he'd barely survived whatever had hunted him.
She froze at the sight before her,"oh my God..."
"Help me please" he begged, he coughed out some bloodeven as he tried to get a full sentence out, Saniyah nodded.
She cleaned each wound with practiced precision before stitching the deepest gashes and wrapping them in fresh bandages.
"Is there anything else you need?"He shook his head
"Just the painkillers... and thank you."
Later that night, Muffled cries pulled Saniyah from her sleep.
His jade-green eyes had darkened into a terrifying shade of emerald. Fangs protruded from his mouth, and every muscle in his body strained against the change.
Predator
Her own storm-grey eyes shimmered before turning silver the unmistakable mark of a vampire. Young though she was, instinct took over.
In that room stood two predators, both fighting to keep their monsters under
control.
Every hunt ends the same. One fur. The other fangs.
She had encountered countless creatures before, but this was different.
He wasn't in control. Neither was the wolf.
As if on cue, a howl tore through the city.
It echoed through every street, every home.
Humans paused their duties.
Vampires listened,
Werewolves understood.
The whole city stood still
because whatever that was...
It wasn't a coincidence.
It was a warning.
