Chapter 22 - Not the First Time

"What has gone wrong?" She wonders

MiYoung gets back on her seat. She takes a deep breath to calm her fear. JongDae moves over giggling in her ear,

"You can have triple abalone for lunch, along with your favorite dessert." Said JongDae

MiYoung kicks his leg, and JongDae breaks to laugh. MinSeok looks up and smiles at the same time watching his brother and his sister playing with each other.

"Uh hum..." the father cough which grabs attention. The kids quickly stop their giggling, and the process continues.

Meeting ends at 10:30. Everyone is leaving, but the president doesn't. MiYoung pushes the chair and stands up,
"You two stay," The father says

JongDae and MiYoung exchange glances and sits down. "We will get the cab back to the office." MinAh informs and walks out with BaekHyun. He turns back looking at MiYoung, but she doesn't look at him. Mr. Kim folds the folder and looks up,

"This time I can't help." MinSeok mumbles, "One big, one small lies to the father. Hiring is a big issue, but the father didn't know. The worst thing is hiring the' daughter of Kim SuRo to work as a small Marketing Manager. If he isn't mad, I'm not your brother."

MiYoung walks over to hug her father.

"Appa, when you are not laughing or smiling, your face looks so scary. JongDae oppa didn't play any part in this. If you want to blame, just blame me. I asked him not to talk to you."

JongDae shakes his head, "appa, it is my fault. JiEun actually didn't know anything. I don't have enough employees, so I ask for help. You know your daughter is a kindhearted girl. She didn't want to turn my offer down, so, she agreed to work."

"Appa, you should punish the two of them at the same time. Giggling in the serious meeting, that is so impolite, and not professional. If you love JiEun more, and not punish her, that is unfair." MinSeok says

Mr. Kim turns over and hits his son, "I know what you are up to. You want to rescue them. If I punish one and not the other, it will be unfair, and if I punish them, and not you, it will also be unfair. You were laughing with them too. You know for sure I don't want to hurt you three at the same time." He says and hits on the girl's head, "Your brothers always stand in front of you. accept the punishment. You have to treat them a good lunch."

MiYoung scratches her head, "If you increase my salary." She jokes

MinAh places the documents on Vienna's table. She looks around with an angry face,

"All of you come here with me." She says and walks down the end toward the conference room. BaekHyun stops her,

"What's wrong?" Asked BaekHyunm

MinAh says nothing; she pushes his hand away and continues walking. Ryan, Vienna, Amy and Benny follow her. Ashley and BaekHyun runs after them.

"I want all of you listen to this and concern with my word. I don't care and I don't mind what Miss. Kim's characteristics are. It is none of our business. She can sit on this chair, it proves that she has talent, and she did. Our jobs is to work with her and support her, not to create problems. Tell me, what is it all about?" She asks throwing the documents down on the table. "The report that you guys provide me was totally different with the presentation she had. Before taking the action, did you guys think about the outcomes? This is not the first time. She didn't say anythjng, but it doesn't mean she is stupid. With this evidence, she can kick us out of the company anytime."

"We only want to seek revenge. Last time she played tricks with Ryan." Amy speaks

"I don't want to say this because I know you guys are adult. You guys can think, but you guys didn't." MinAh says and looks at Ryan. "She didn't play trick with you. The ticket for your sons to the baseball game is from her, not from JongDae. I saw it with my own eye. She asked you to stay overtime because she needed that information. You didn't finish your job and leave without telling her. She didn't report it to JongDae; she also got the ticket to pay back for your hard work. I don't want to say much; you guys think for yourself. Keep in mind; I don't want this to happen again." MinAh yells and walks out.

"MinAh," BaekHyun calls and runs after his friend

MiYoung stops at the entrance when she catches the woman is sitting inside her office playing with the eyeglasses on her hand. MiSeon spins the chair, "Get in here and close the door, I don't want your father to say I'm threatening you." Said MiSeon

The girl takes a deep breath and steps inside. She closes the door and stands still in the corner.

Hearing the knock on door, JongDae shouts "Come in," while moving his hand away from the mouse. The old man steps in,

"Uncle Kookie, what are you doing here?" JongDae asks

"Your mother is here." The servant informs

"What?" JongDae quickly stands up, "What is she doing here? Where is she?" He asks walking out of the office

"You should know," the old man says

"Oh no..." JongDae says and quickly runs. He launches inside the room like an arrow without knocking on the door. His sister is standing in the corner while his mother is staring directly at her. JongDae walks over,

"Eooma, this is the first time; you are coming here to not visit me. It is lunch time. I remember; there was a new restaurant that opened last week, with lot of good review. Why don't we try it today? After lunch, we can go shopping together if you want. JiEun can handle the afternoon work for me." He says grabbing his hand around MiSeon's arm.

The mother lovely hits his son, "Don't act like I'm a fool." She says and walks pass the girl, "I hope you keep in mind my advice." She speaks and walks out.

"Eomma," JongDae calls and hands the mother the key, "You get down first, wait for me in the car. I'll get the present for you."

MiSeon hits him. "Once more, don't treat me as a fool." She says and walks out. The old man walks over. JongDae nods,

"I can handle it. Thank you uncle, you can get back to work and help my father." Said JongDae.

The old man polite bows and leaves the office. JongDae turns to his secretary.

"Ashley, come with me." He speaks with an angry tongue. They walk inside MiYoung's office. His sister stands still in the corner,

"Close the door," he insists. MiYoung returns to reality. She looks at Ashley with an angry shape on her face. MiYoung walks over and touches on JongDae's shoulder,

"What's happened?" She asks

JongDae turns back to stares at his secretary, "I didn't yell out loud, but it doesn't mean I don't know anything. Let's me tell you this. Stop your tricks and those childish games. If in any case if Miss. Kim gets hurt, or something happens to her, you won't have a chance to step inside of this company again. Do you hear me?" He yells

The sister pulls his shoulder, "oppa..." MiYoung tries to calm her brother's angry

"Say sorry to Miss. Kim," he yells again.

MiYoung pulls his shoulder and pushes him away, "Ashley, I'm fine here, just get back to work."

The secretary says nothing. She walks out of the office and throws the folder on her desk. MiYoung looks at her brother,

"What are you doing?" Said MiYoung

"You heard what I said. I don't care and I don't mind how good she is. I won't accept and won't allow that kind of behavior appear inside the office. Last night, you were working for a whole night. JiEun, I know what the problem was. This is not the first time you have cover for them." Said JongDae

"I know how to handle my situation. I thought you promise with keun eonomi to spend your lunch time with her. You rescued me, and you should have done your job." Said MiYoung

"Ok, I'm leaving." JongDae forces to say, but MiYoung pulls him back

, "I don't even like this scary face. Tell me how keun eonomi is going to handle it?" The sister says

"What do you want me to do?" JongDae asks

The sister massages his face and creates a big smile, "Should be like this."

"Do you want me to get something back for you to eat?" Asked JongDae

"No, I'm fine. I'm going out for lunch with YoonA. Thank you," replied MiYoung

"I'll see you later then." The brother says and walks out. MiYoung isn't in a mood for eating or working. After her brother leaves, she also leaves the office.
