CHAPTER 1- IMAGINE DRAGONS
I am alone.
But something tells me I am not. I know that sounds weird. You cannot begin to scratch the surface of how many times I have gone over that in my head. So, yeah, I know it's strange.
I don't want to listen to it, but something in my head says I am part of something.
That I belong in a world that the mere thought of being alone is not possible.
Where the sky is the limit.
But not even the sky will hold me back.
I lived with my 'foster' parents for quite some time before They found us.
By Them, I mean the Guards.
Me, Caron and Kavos. Thats how it used to be.
The closest people I have ever had to a family. But They took it all. They tore it from my heart, twisting and corrupting the people I loved in front of my eyes.
Caron used to always whisper to me as a child;
"Imagine Dragons, Cass. Anything is possible." Those were the words she screamed at me as she was tortured. Those are the words I love. Those are the words I hate.
And I imagined dragons. I imagined them, like that would really help. That I would be gifted with the strength of a dragon to fight off the murderers.
But nothing happened.
Caron and Kavos still died.
That was the day I vowed to avenge them.
