"Um, I'll do a double cheeseburger, small fry, and a diet coke, please-- you're out of diet? Damn. Okay, regular is fine." Kora spoke into the drive-thru order station of Five Guys. "I'm sorry ma'am, we're out of diet coke." She mocked the voice of who took her order as she drove up to the window. "Ma'am, seriously? I'm 21, dude." She grumbled to herself.

It was 2am in Warden, Georgia and the only places open to eat were the occasional drive-thru's. Not that Kora minded eating fast food, she grew up on the stuff, and who was she to turn down a quick burger?

"That'll be $9.50." The worker said as he opened the window.

She opened her wallet and flipped through her credit cards, handing him one.

The man looked down at the name. "Leia Walker?" He raised an eyebrow. "Your parents fans of Star Wars or something?" He asked as he scanned it, receipt printing upon the cards approval.

"Something like that." Kora said with a false smile as she took the fake card back along with her food. "Have a nice night."

Pulling out of the lot, she drove to a run down motel, parking in front of room 104. Biting the bag, she grabbed her things and walked towards the door, using the same credit card to swipe the door open before stepping inside.

"Hope you like burgers." She announced to the demon currently tied to a chair in the middle of the room. Demon traps were painted on the peeling wallpaper, but she used chains just in case. "Or the smell of them, at least. Forgot to get you something, sorry, horny." She eyed the horned demon.

Horny growled at her, straining against the chains doused in holy water.

"Oh, c'mon." She drug out, sitting at the table and eating her food. "You think your night is bad? I start school tomorrow. You're the one who doesn't have to go to college, be a bit grateful. I offer you hospitality, a comfy chair, maybe a French fry if im feeling extra nice, and you have the decency to growl at me?"

The demon lunged as much as it could in the chair but was immediately pushed back by the barrier of the devil's trap.

Kora snorted. "Cute."

While she ate, Kora went through her files for attending Georgia Tech. According to her dad, it was time she stepped away from the family business and headed to college. So, where did she get sent? Hotlanta. Go figure.

"The school system gets dumber by the years. I never finished high-school and all of my transcripts are forged, but they were accepted. It's ridiculous, really." She turned to Horny. "I'm taking Psych by a chick named Professor Xade... the hell kind of a name is that anyway? I haven't even met her and I already don't like her. Sounds like a bitch." She grumbled with a mouth full of burger. "Maybe she's evil. Xade sounds like an evil name."

Horny grumbled.

"I'm taking that as an agreement." She said, walking towards it while holding up a fry to its mouth. "Here comes the train, choo choo-- hey! We do not bite!" She yanked her hand back when it snapped at her with its teeth. "Jesus, you're not a vampire, what's with you demons and biting? Stick to your own lane. You're a sumak demon." She reminded it as she shook her head.  "Its like a demo switch." She complained, tossing the fry at it.

It bounced off the demon's forehead and it stared blankly at her."Okay, as much as I've enjoyed the hair braiding and talking about boys, our little visit is gonna get cut short. I have a long day tomorrow and you have served your purpose." She pulled out a 45 and shot the demon, a red glow coming from the bullet hole.

She stared at the body for a moment. "This is gonna be a bitch to bury." She mumbled, scratching the back of her neck. "But thats tomorrow's problem." Throwing a blanket over the dead demon, she turned on the TV and grabbed a beer from the fridge.

"Breaking News: there have been several reports of a massive disease spreading across the United States, turning people into cannibals." She paused in her sip and turned up the volume. "Footage in shows recent sightings and the view is grusome. Take a look--"

Her nose scrunches as the video plays. "That's dis-- what the fuck?" The beer bottle falls from her hands as the body under the blanket begins to move. Groans that resemble the ones from the video blend into the room, and as the body moves, the blanket falls.

Horny, still chained to the chair, was now very much alive... ish. Only it's eyes were glazed over and the horns held a greenish hue.

"I killed you." She said, pointing at it. Her eyes flickering between the demon and the news on the TV. She grabbed her gun and cocked it, pulling the trigger just as the news man said, "Noise seems to attract the infected."

Her head snapped to the TV. "What?" Placing the gun at the back of her pants, she grabs her duffle bag and sorts through it. "Phone... phone... I need the-  ah-ha." She finds the phone and calls Bobby, only for it to go straight to voicemail. "Rude. Okay, Dean--" Same response. "What the- c'mon Sammy..."

"The number you have called is not accepting calls at this time. Please try again later."

Frowning, she checks the bars.

No service.

Tossing the phone back into the bag she walks over to the motel phone. Only when she picked it up, the disconnected beep rang through her ear.  She slammed it on its holder.

A large bang hit the door to the motel room, followed by several groans. Slowly walking over to the window, she carefully peeked out to see a herd of... the infected?

Noise attracts them.

Her hand goes to her gun.

"Son of a bitch."
