Skylar sent me a disapproving look as she settled across from me, "Did you really have to do that, Cal? People are judging us now."
Let 'em judge. I'll cut off their 'messy buns' and bleach their leggings.
"Chill out, Sky, and stop worrying about what every -"
"Um, excuse me?" A voice cut me off mid sentence and I turned to look up at whoever interrupted me, ready to -
Holy shit.
That's fucking Dylan O'Brien.
Oh my God, it's Dylan O'Brien.
Wait, no it's not, remember, Cal? It's a fictional character that LOOKS like Dylan O'Brien - it is not, and I repeat, NOT Dylan O'Brien and if you call him Dylan by accident, he's going to look at you weird.
Breathe, Cal, breathe.
He was looking at us awkwardly, like he really didn't want to be here while my heart threatened to beat out of my chest.
"Uh, yes?" My voice cracked, but I did my best to try and look normal, and not like Dylan O'Brien was standing above me, staring at me like I was some sort of alien.
But he kind of was.
"Uh, not to be, like, rude or anything, but, uh, that's my jacket," He blushed, scratching the back of his neck and beckoning to a blue sweatshirt in the corner of Skylar's side. I turned to Skylar and for the first time in ten seconds of his arrival, I took note of her expression.
Instead of adorning the typical I-just-got-rejected-and-not-even-Zac-Efron-is-hot expression, she was actually blushing.
In other words, she was totally diggin' Dylan O'Brien and his hot bod.
"Sorry, I didn't notice," She mumbled, hastily grabbing the blue sweatshirt and handing it to him.
Pay attention, ladies and gentlemen, because this is the moment that changed the rest of the fictional book world as we know it.
"By the way, I'm Zack," He thrust his hand out for Skylar to shake.
"Skylar," Fake-twin shyly giggled - I repeat, giggled - and gingerly took his hand in her own.
Do I sense a love interest here?
Seeing as they both had googly-eyed expressions fixed on each other, I took that moment to study them. They were both blushing madly, and looking about as awkward as a fourteen year-old at a school dance, but still.
There was something there.
A spark of something, a second chance, a -
Yep, they're totally eye-raping each other.
In a completely romantic way, of course.
"Would you like to sit, Zack?" I asked, scooting over in the booth and dragging his attention away from checking out my fake-sister.
"Uh, sure, I mean, if you don't mind," He stumbled over his words and clumsily slid into the booth, focusing his attention back on Skylar.
I had no doubt this wasn't going to be the last time we saw Zack. For one, he was cast as a pretty major celebrity - in fangirl world, that is - and it was usually the more famous, recognizable celebrities that got cast as main characters. And, honestly, who's going to cast Dylan O'Brien as a background character?
Nobody, that's who.
Also, I was totally shipping them. They both seemed awkward, and as far as first impressions go, Zack didn't strike me as an asshole. Now, I had just met him, but considering the guy looked like he was about to wet his pants asking us for his jacket back from Skylar, I seriously doubted he was the hump-and-dump type.
