Over Protective Brother 2

Hayes POV
I wake up and Cass wasn't there. I walk into Ash's room. She was in there holding Ash. Today is our baby girls birthday. I walk up behind her and wrap my arms around her tiny waist. She says "hey Hayes" I could tell by her voice she had been crying.

I put Ash back in her crib and pull Cass onto my lap as I sat down on the chair in Ash's room.

I say "what's wrong why were you crying" she says "its just, uh nothing" I say "it is something and I need you to tell me" she sighs and says "I just, I just try so hard to remember and I can't. I just flat out can't, I want to remember everything like Ash's birth, our first kiss, when we met, I want to remember us Hayes" I was sadden by her words.

It must be so hard, I can't even imagine.

I kiss her on the lips and say "well were gonna make plenty of new memories" she slightly smiles and I kiss her cheek.

She wasn't the same Cass. Her smile just wasn't the same, not as bright. I want Cass back.

I say "let's get dressed" she nods. We walk to our room and I start to undress she says "um, uh im in here" I say "I know baby, we always do this" you could tell she was uncomfortable.

I say "I'll get dressed downstairs" she nods and I walk out.

I put on a white t shirt and jeans. I put on some black Jordan's on and I walk up to check on Cass.

I open the door and she's sitting in her pajamas crying with clothes in her hands.

I sit down next to her and grab her hand. I say "what's wrong" she says "I don't know what to wear" I kiss her hands and I grab her favorite crop top and jeans. I say "here, this will look good" she smiles and puts it on. I say "beautiful" she says "now what shoes. I look through her closet and find her old back converse that she wore when we met. I grab them and they still looked brand new. I hand her these and say "here you go" she slides them on and looks in the mirror.

She smiles and then she turns to the side and her smile fades. I say "what's wrong" she says "I thought I had boobs" I laugh lightly and say "I don't care if you have boobs you are cute with tiny boobs" she chuckles and I say "and your cute tiny ass" I smack her butt and she giggles.

I say "now I'm gonna get the other princess ready" she says "can I watch" I say "sure"

I walk into Ash's room and put her on her back. I put her in a footie that was super soft. It had polka dots all over it. I button it up then grab the basket with all her tutus. I say to Cass "which one" she looks at ash and the footie. She pulls out a sparkly rainbow one.

I smile and say "that ones my favorite" I carry Ash over to Cass and say "wanna put it on her" she nods and takes Ash.

She slides the little tutu on Ash and then kisses her forehead.

I smile at the thought that 10 years from now me and Cass will possibly be married with a beautiful 11 years old"

I hope she looks just like Cass.

I was snapped out of thought when I see Cass crying again

"Babe what's wrong" I ask while coming over to sit Cass on my lap

"I can't remember" she says while laying her head on my chest

"Babe it's ok that you can't remember the only thing that's important is that you are remembering the people you love the most" I say

"But I want to remember all the good memories" she says

"We'll plenty of good memories" I say to her while hugging her

That made her smile a big smile but still not the same Cass smile

Then my phone starts ringing

"Hello"

"Hey you Cass and Ash need to come over remember it's Ash's birthday" Cam says

"Oh shit I forgot we'll be over their in 5 minutes" I say while hanging up

"Who was that" Cass ask

"It was cam we need to go over to his house because it's Ash's birthday" I say getting excited

Cass was smiling really big

"Why such a big smile" I ask

"Because it's our daughters birthday" Cass says

She kisses me and we get Ash and strap her in the car and go to cams

We get to cams and walk in

"How's my little 1 year old" cam says while taking Ash

"And how are the parents" cam says

"Well Cass is having a hard time remembering things so don't fill her with to many questions" I say

Cam nods and tells everyone so that they don't overwhelm Cass then everyone starts coming up to Cass ask her how she's doing and all

"Ok everyone it's time for the birthday girl to eat some cake" cam says

We see cam give Ash the cake and she puts her whole hand in it and shoves it in her face

"She's just like you" Cass whispers to me

"What do you mean" I ask

"Well she's a messy eater" Cass says

We then both laugh and she gives me a kiss we open Ash's presents and we hang for a bit until everyone starts leaving

"Well we are going to get going" I say

"Bye" everyone says

"Thank you for coming Cam says while hugging

"No problem" I say

"Bye Cam love you" Cass says as she grabs Ash

We strap Ash in the car seat and drive home

"Hey here's a new memory for you too remember Ash's first birthday" I say to Cass

"Yeah it is a new memory" she says while smiling

We get home Ash was fast asleep in the car seat so I put her down for the day

I go into our room where Cass is on her phone

"Hey babe"she says while sitting up

I give her a kiss and I lay down with her I ended up falling asleep right away
