The Gender

3 months later

Cass POV

I wake up feeling excited because I have an appointment and I get to find out the gender of the baby

"Shawn wake up" I say while shaking him

"What" he says

"Today we find out the gender" I say excitedly

With that he jumps out of bed and gets dressed and runs down I get dressed in skinny jeans (which are becoming hard to put on) and a sweatshirt I go and get my black vans on

"Ready" Shawn says

"Ready" I say

We drive to the place and we sit and wait then the lady calls me back I lift up my shirt and she puts the cold gel on my stomach and she moves the thingy around on my stomach

"I hope it's a girl" I whisper to Shawn

The lady points to a few things and then writes something down on a piece of paper then puts it in an envelope

"Here you go but before you open it we have to set your next appointment so when your done here go to the front desk ok" she's says and leaves

I start opening the envelope I look and it says

"It's....it's.....a girl" I say while crying

"We're having a girl" Shawn says getting excited

I wipe off my stomach and we go to the front desk to set the next appointment we are in the car when I start thinking

"I'm having Shawn's baby no Hayes' baby no Shawn no Hayes I don't know anymore" I think to myself

"Aren't you excited we're having a girl" Shawn says

"Yeah" I say sighing

"What's wrong" Shawn ask

"Nothing nothing is wrong I'm perfectly ok" I say trying not to cry

He puts his arm around me and says " you can tell me anything babe"

I say " I know, but there's nothing wrong"

He puts his hand on my stomach and says "she's kicking"

He smiles and I see Cameron looking at us in the mirror and smiling.

I look at Shawn and smile.

He it his arm around me and kisses my forehead.

I'm getting a DNA test as soon as the baby comes I don't want to have a life with Shawn if I don't have to but I feel bad if it isn't his because he's so excited.

I look him in the eyes not realizing I shed a tear.

He wipes it with his thumb and says "what's wrong"

I say "I'm just super happy" I Lie.

I stare out the window thinking about Hayes.
