Start...

Normal days pass by,even if they're bad.
Something is probably getting run over right now.
...
But there is good somewhere...
Humanity didn't realize this until it was to late.
It started with the first Solar Flare...

Major cities were affected first,in less that 7 hours,the societal construct collapsed.
The first flare had caused known Major genetic disorders to amplify negatively.
Such examples being Sickle Cell causing blood to literally solidify,killing the person in minutes.
Or Cystic fibrosis making those with it choke on their own mucus.
Or in worse cases drown in their sweat.

While Lesser threatening disorders were bumped up to needing constant monitoring and treatment.

So there's 4-6% of the population gone already...
Large first world countries met with one another to get their nations under control.
But the flare had sweeper through every ravine and mountain by that point.
So many political desks and positions were abruptly empty...
The world has collapsed by this point,cellphones and internet were gone,power plants of all kinds were through melt down.
Even more negatively,children that were born with Major genetic disorders...
It wasn't pretty.
This caused the global birthrates to practically plummet to nearly nothing.
...
And most might ask themselves.
"Wait,if it was only 4-6% of the population...wouldn't those important spots be filled in quickly?
It wouldn't make sense for the world to collapse from JUST the First Solar Flare...right?"

The Second Solar Flare hit 5 years later.
This Flare had killed those in the 60+ age range.
...
But unlike the First Flare,this one wasn't permanent,so they wouldn't die as soon as they turned 60 from that point on.
Well that's another 12-14% of humanity killed off...
Not as deadly as the First Flare,but many mentors and teachers of important studies were...dead.
This put a MASSIVE dent in apprenticeships and younger students,who would teach them now?
Especially with no internet....
People dreaded what would come in another 5 years,what was the point of living anymore?
...
Yea the amount of people that...kicked the can themselves skyrocketed...

Humanity was at an all time low,the amount of children born each year went from millions,to less than five hundred thousand...
No leaders to advance them...
...
On new year's eve,people lined roofs and buildings,ready to...well yea...If the Third Flare was going to be worse...

Happy new year's...

The Third Flare lit up the midnight sky,shining blindly as light washed over everything...
At first nothing happened...
Just like before...
But the first weeks into January, supernatural sightings skyrocketed,rumors spread of people having...abilities?
As time passed,these individuals were called,Genetics.
Classified as people that were blessed by the Sun.
Many looked up to these people as deities,gods walking among them.
Others though...weren't very keen on bowing to Genetics.
Riots broke out, Genetics were hunted and killed.

Many went into hiding,others embraced their new strengths and took the reigns of leading humanity forward.
Residing in the capitals of states and countries.
People followed,embracing the hope of leaving the past decade in the past.
Of course,there were still those that didn't want Genetics at the top,but they were slaughter when voicing their opinion.
By who?
I mean it's pretty obvious...
And because of this,other Genetics made it their mission to kill these corrupt leaders.
Hoping better people would take over...
