PROLOGUE

THE ORIGIN

"No, momma, please... nooo!"

A heavily injured ant screamed toward his mother, who was trapped in a spider's web. His helpless eyes shifted to his little brother's body—fifteen ant-years old—shattered across the uneven ground, blood scattered everywhere.

"Goldieee!!" he cried, his eyes desperately searching for his brother's skull, legs, and shattered body, tears blurring his vision.

A cold, eerie breeze brushed the back of his head. He already knew where it came from.

With rage, agony, and fear boiling inside him, Jake slowly turned around. Standing behind the thick spider web was the one who caused it all—the great KING GRIFFITH.

A massive spider, tall and terrifying, ten times larger than Jake, with eight glowing eyes and long deadly legs.

"I'll kill him," Jake thought, his fists trembling with rage.

But the moment his eyes fully met the scene, his body gave up. He collapsed to his knees, not out of fear—
but because of what he saw.

The sight he would never forget. Not in this life. Maybe not even after death.

His father's head was inside Griffith's mouth, dripping with blood.

"No... no... no..."

With trembling legs, Jake tried to run forward.

And then—

The monstrous spider crushed what remained of his father's face.

Jake screamed toward the sky, his voice tearing apart:

"NOOOOOOOOO!!!"

"Jakie, wake up! The king is calling you!"

Jake gasped, struggling to breathe as Timmy shook him awake.

"Uh... uh..." Jake panted, his heart racing.

"Are you okay, Jakie?" Timmy asked, worried.

Jake finally caught his breath and glared at him.
"If you call me that again, I'll bite your head off."

"Oh, you silly thing, stop your drama," Timmy laughed. "Forget that—the king has summoned you!"

"What the fuck does that old man want now?" Jake muttered.

"Stop it, Jakie. You can't disrespect the king. He's your godfather," Timmy said.

"Get the fuck out of my room, Tommy," Jake snapped, kicking him outside and slamming the door shut.

"My name is Timmy, you fucker!" Timmy shouted back. "Ten years together and this idiot still can't say my name right."

Jake slid down against the door, his body shaking.

"Why this dream again..." he whispered.
"I just want to die."

CHAPTER 1

BEFORE THE STORM

Jake freshened up and headed toward the king's palace—a massive structure that covered nearly half of the entire kingdom. The other half served as shelter for the ants.
