Before you dive into Echelon, I want to offer a Viewer Advisory before I continue. Echelon is intended for a Mature Audience. It also addresses manipulation, death, grief, potential self-harm, addiction, and suicide. Echelon may not be suitable for all readers. If you or someone you know is struggling with any of these topics, please remember you are not alone, and support is available. Reach out to family, friends, or helplines. Your well being matters. Echelon may not be the right story for everyone.
On a related note, I'd like to give you some insight into the world of Echelon. Possible Spoilers Ahead!
This world is inhabited by both creatures and Humans. For much of the Early story, humans pLay a suPporting role, especially those who work for Bravo Co. Many of them harbor strong resentment toward the creatures, viewing them as filthy, rotten beasts.
Society in Echelon is strUctured in different claSses, forming a kind of pyramid or food chain. At the very top are the Wardens, powerful beings that many creatures worship or praise. Examples include the Sky Warden, Lava Warden, Sea Warden, Land Warden, Relationship Warden, Shadow Warden, and Crystal Warden. (THERE ARE IN TOTAL 7 WARDENS!!) Each plays an important role in the world's balance, even if not all are fully explored in Echelon. Weaker creatures occupy the lower tiers, with the rest ranked by their strength.
The world of Echelon is divided into several distinct regions, which you'll see on the map below. There's Scorched Earth, the lava kingdom. The Frozen Wasteland, with its unbearable cold, and the Crystal Caverns. An isolated island accessible only to medics for prophecies and service to the Sky Warden. The towering ashfall cliffs known as the Salagite Peaks, a massive ravine, within the region, home to an important character. The coastal area called the Calm Tides, where the Sea Kingdom, Bravo Co., and a lighthouse are located. Corvys Canyons is a mesa biome with Teardrop Lake flowing into it. Fisher Valley is a plain with forests, plentiful fish, and Fisher Island, separated from the main region but still a part of it.
