Laura's POV
We are currently in 1st hour Drama waiting for our names to be called for our skit
Mrs. Carmichael: and lastly Ross, Laura and Lilly.... They are doing Act 2 Scene 2.... please state your characters and you will be starting the scene at the line where Romeo says: Wouldst thou withdraw it? for what purpose, love? And end with Romeo saying: But love from love, toward school with heavy looks. Go
We go up to the front of the class room and stand in our spots
Ross: I'm playing Romeo
Laura: I'm Juliet
Lilly: and I'm the Nurse
Mrs. Carmichael: alright go ahead and start
Ross: Wouldst thou withdraw it? for what purpose, love?
Laura: But to be frank, and give it thee again and yet I wish but for the thing I have: My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.
Lilly: *calls within*
Laura: I hear some noise within; dear love, adieu! Anon, good nurse! Sweet Montague, be true. Stay but a little, I will come again. *exits*
Ross: O blessed, blessed night! I am afeard. Being in night, all this is but a dream, Too flattering-sweet to be substantial.
Laura: *re-enter* Three words, dear Romeo, and good night indeed. If that thy bent of love be honourable, Thy purpose marriage, send me word to-morrow, By one that I'll procure to come to thee, Where and what time thou wilt perform the rite; and all my fortunes at thy foot I'll lay and follow thee my lord throughout the world.
Lilly: *Within* Madam!
Laura: I come, anon.-- But if thou mean'st not well, I do beseech thee--
Lilly: *Within* Madam!
Laura: By and by, I come:-- To cease thy suit, and leave me to my grief: To-morrow will I send.
Ross: So thrive my soul--
Laura: A thousand times good night! *exits*
Ross: A thousand times the worse, to want thy light. Love goes toward love, as schoolboys from their books, But love from love, toward school with heavy looks.
Mrs. Carmichael: and Scene
Everyone starts clapping and we bow then go back to our seats.
Mrs. Carmichael: alright you can all talk amongst yourselves as I grade your scenes
Lilly: so do I really have to choose who was better
Raura: yep
Lilly: well I thought you were both equally amazing so I can't choose
Laura: I guess you were pretty amazing
Ross: yeah so we're you
Bailey: *walks up to them* hey guys guess who just got changed into this class
Raura: you've got to be kidding me
Lilly: how did you get into this class I thought it was full
