Laura's POV
Ahhhh Christmas Day the most happy day ever.... not for us. I woke up at 10 to Nessa still sleeping so I decided to go find something to eat cause Stormie wont care she's like my second mom. I walked upstairs and saw something on the front door mat. I went to pick it up and I saw that its a note... from my dad:
Hey Girls I just wanted to tell you that me and your mom need a little space from each other because of last night... I went home to Toronto with your grandparents to let out some steam. I love you two both and I will let your mother explain what happened - Love, Dad
What no... he can't leave this isn't fair. I ran back downstairs and started shaking Nessa so she would wake up
Laura: Nessa wake up
Vanessa: what why??
Laura: Dad left us a note
Vanessa: He what?!?!
I hand her the note and she reads it while mouthing the words
Vanessa: HE LEFT
She storms out of the house and walks all the way over to our house and I follow her. She slams the door in front of my face and I can hear yelling behind the door. I walk in closing my eyes and cuffing my hears shut.
Laura: STOP STOP STOP
I tried yelling but it didn't work. I could feel tears start feeling tears stream down my face
Laura: I DON'T LIKE YELLING
I run out of the house and back over to the Lynches to see their car pulling up to their house. I see Ross get out so I run over and hug him
Ross: Hey Laur.... what's wrong
Laura: my parents fought, my dad left and now Nessa and my mom are fighting.... I don't like it
Ross: it's okay *rubs her back* let's go inside
Laura: okay
Ross' POV
I took Laura inside and we sat on the couch.
Ross: so do you know why your dad left
Laura: no I just know that he left to blow off some steam
Ross: I'm sure that everything will be alright in a few days okay
Laura: yeah... I hope
There was a knock at the door so I got up and opened the door to find Vanessa
Ross: hey Nessa
Vanessa: hey mom want's Laura home
Ross: okay.... Laura Nessa is here to get you
Laura: *walks up to them* Hey
Vanessa: I'm sorry for the yelling... mom told me what happened and she wants to tell you
Laura: okay
Ross: I'll see you two tonight
They nod and walk out of the house and over to theirs
Vanessa's POV
We walked back into our house and over to the couch where mom was sitting
Vanessa: Mom... you wanted to tell Laura what happened
Ellen: your uncle kissed me... and I kissed back
Laura: Mom that's cheating... dad's never going to come back now
Ellen: Laura I'm sorry
Laura: leave me alone I don't want to see you anymore *runs upstairs*
Vanessa: well what about the rest of the family coming over today
Laura: tell them to leave my presents at my door
Ellen: you are being a little brat
Laura: I'm not being a brat I'm just standing up for my dad cause maybe it was right for him to leave
