"I think you lost something,
Mae bae" I told her while
letting myself

drop

on the seat in front of hers.

"The whole 'Mae bae' charming is
not
going to work on me I can
assure you."

"Well," I looked down. She was
biting her lip unconciously.

I was on the

verge

of surging forward and
claiming them myself,

but instead,
my feet
pressed and
churned
against the floor
and my teeth vehemently
dug
the flesh in my mouth,

"you can go ahead and pretend
you're the tough girl for as long
as you want,
but until then,
I'll make sure to keep
this
in my hands," I mischieviously said as her
little black book
flopped down on the table,
"cause surely a tough girl would
not
own a notebook with a
delicate, feminine swan
stamped on the front cover,

sweetheart."
