We were still hustling around on the bus everyone was making sure me and Brian were ok. Vicki pulled over in a decent spot so they could check on us. I could still tell Peyton was mad at me witch has pretty much the first time she has ever been. It was written all over her face. I was still worried about Brian was he hurt, is he ok? those questions kept running through my head. I wasn't mad at him cause i knew he didn't do it on purpose and the whole reason he got in a fight was over me. This made me feel bad. Good thing Peyton lightened up though Matt went over to her and wrapped his arma around her waist and asked her whats wrong. I heard the whole conversation.

"Whats wrong" asked matt

"Nothing" replied Peyton

"Don't lie to me" Matt said "i can tell somethings wrong!"

"Ugh Katie is just making me mad a little" Peyton replied

"And why is that?" Matt asked back.

"Cause....Shes defending someone that hurt her and its just pis-sin me off!" Peyton raised her voice

"Ok calm down everything will be fine brian said he didnt mean to it was an accident and he feels bad" Matt reassuringly told Peyton.

"Yeah and now he 'accident' is on her face and its already purple!" She said in the same tone

"As i said chill shes fine hes fine were all fine!" Matt said

Matt gave her a big hug, just what she needed. She calmed down. Weird how one man could get to her like that once shes mad shes mad. But thanks to Matt there's one less thing i have to worry about. Brian finally got up looked at me and winced. He started muttering to himself and walked of the bus. Jimmy tried to follow but Brian just yelled at him to stay. I finally got up and walked off. I told the guys id be right back i just needed to let him know i was ok and he shouldn't fret about it. I walked off the bus in a hurry so Brian couldn't do anything to hurt himself. About a quarter a mile away was a little creek. I found Brian there chucking rocks cussing and just trying to let stuff go. I touched him on the shoulder and he turned around infuriated. He quickly calmed down and sat in the grass. I sat next to him.

"Its fine you didnt mean to" i said softly.

"No its not" Brian's Speech was slurred from all the booze.

"yes it is i understand you were just trying to get the guy to shut his mouth" i said

"That doesn't mean i should of hit you!" he said with his teeth clenched.

"But it was an accident you didn't know it was me!" i raised my voice a little to get my point across.

"Still i wont forgive myself" he said not looking at me

"But i forgive you" i said softly

i reached over and grabbed his hand holding it and cradling to let him know i was fine and he didnt have to be sorry. I looked at him with a worried expression.

"So why did you try to fight that man, it was just a name, i would have lived." i said questioningly

"Cause for once someone means something to me" he said quickly

"What do you mean" i asked puzzled

"Katie...That's what my wife's name was...She passed...cancer" he said sadly

"oh im so sor" i tried to say before i was cut off

"Don't be it happens" he replied sharply

"So how do i tie in with her...You must of really loved her" i said sorrowfully

"Cause your just like her, I have only known you for 10 hours but i can see her.. i can see you" he said with a faint tone of happiness.

"I can stay if you want me to" i said promisingly "But i don't want to replace her" i then replied

"You wont...Me and her weren't the best couple anyways we fought alot i really was only with her to help her get through i tried so hard but nothing worked" he said reassuringly

"im sorry to hear" i said

"Don't be its not your fault" he said

"Ok wht ever makes you happy" i said happily

He smiled witch made me feel good haven't seen him smile yet.

"I say we hit the hay..or the grass" he said tired

"Ok" i replied sleepily

we layed down he took my hand

"Thank you" he said then dozing off in the grass.

"Your welcome" i whispered to him then i shortly dozed off
