//modern AU. The Hyuga and Uchiha families are rich and attend party's and dinners with other rich people. Sasuke and Hinata met as kids and became friends as they got older. On Hinata's 18th birthday her parents send her away to study abroad for college. 3 years later and she comes back to go to a party with her family and sees Sasuke there. The two hadn't talked to each other since she left. Also I wanted to use a few lyrics from Artic Monkeys "Do I wanna know" because I think the song could fit for this! But I also wanted to say specifically Hoziers cover of it, seems a bit more romantic if that makes sense Anyways enjoy!

Sasuke POV:
Sasuke walked past a few people in the hallway of the banquet, Exiting the bathroom he headed back to the lobby and back into the party. He fixed his dark red tie as he looked around, the music in the dance hall began playing slowly as he scanned the crowd for his brother.

𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮....

Onyx eyes focused on lavender eyes, lost in the others eyes for more than normal.

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰....

The lavender were the first to look away disappearing in the crowd, Onyx eyes desperate to find the lavender eyes began to chase the dark blue hair that replaced  them

𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐈 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐝𝐨....

Hinata POV:
Hinata turned away quickly, no way that was him....but those eyes. They didn't belong to a stranger those were the eyes she slowly fell in love with. Hinata headed to the double door leading to the lobby, pushing the doors opened she headed outside to enjoy the cool night air. Truthfully she needed a moment to breathe she couldn't believe that was him, she hadn't seen Sasuke in 3 years and now to see him was too much. What would she say? Was he mad at her? Did he even care that she left? She headed to a lone spot outside and found a bench she sat down and looked up at the sky and she wondered, Did he have a girlfriend?

Sasuke POV:
Sasuke chased after the lavender eyes but from a distance not wanting to freak her out, he saw her slip out the front doors and he stopped for a minute. Should he have chased her? Maybe she didn't want to see him? But it had been so long....did she even want to talk to him? He shook his head he was going to talk to her and so he headed outside and quickly found her. She was looking down at her shoes and Sasuke's breath hitched and he stepped back. She was as gorgeous as ever her hair was longer and her dress for her perfectly, she looked so beautiful under the moonlight. He cleared his throat and walked up to her stopping right in front of her. "...Hello Hinata...." He cursed himself why did he sound so awkward

Hinata POV:
Hinata nearly jumped at his voice, She had been so lost in her thoughts she didn't realize he walked up to her and she slowly looked up.Her eyes found his and her heart skipped a beat, He looked so handsome in his suit and his face was still perfect. "H-hello Sasuke...." God why did she have to stutter.... anyways Hinata looked at his eyes oh his beautiful dark eyes how she missed them so much. If she hadn't had to leave for college then maybe they would've been closer

Sasuke POV:
His body tensed at her voice it was as soft and gentle as ever. "How are you?" He asked and she gave a small smile and responded "I've been well, how are you?" She asked her eyes melting the cold persona he displayed "I'm good, just the usual business is all" he said and she nodded patting the seat next to her for him to take. So he sat down and looked at the ground, how he had missed being near her.

Hinata POV:
Hinata looked at her hands which were now on her lap and she took a deep breath ready to speak when he spoke up. "Listen, I'm sorry I didn't respond to your messages when you left....I get it if you hate me or don't want anything to do with me I was just upset that you left" he said and sighed. Hinata turned to look at him confused she tilted her head "hate you? I thought you didn't want anything to do with me, I thought you hated me" she said and now he looked at her onyx eyes just as confused and his brows furrowed.

Sasuke POV:
She thought he hated her? Why? He missed her and just couldn't handle when she left he thought if he had stopped talking to her he wouldn't feel so much pain "Hinata I don't hate you.....I never have and I never will." His heart began to race as his feelings rushed to him again back then when he wanted to confess to her she had been dragged off by her dad and taken, so instead of telling her what he wanted to talk about he ignored him thinking maybe her leaving was her not loving him. A pit formed in his stomach and it was suddenly hard to speak he wanted to get the words out and explain how much he loved her and cherished her but how could he? He ignored her for 3 years that's not something you just forget and maybe he was too late and she had a boyfriend or worse a fiance.

Hinata POV:
She was relieved he didn't hate her and that fact he never would, though she noticed he seemed to be in his thoughts so she decided to give him the little push to open up "Sasuke what's on your mind?" She asked gently her hand finding his in a way to comfort to give him some sort of gesture that she wasn't mad at him.

Sasuke POV:
His body stiffined at the touch but then relaxed her hand was soft and slightly cold compared to his warm hands it felt nice comforting and he cleared his throat "Hinata, all those years ago and that day you left I was going to tell you something. I wanted to tell you something so important that when your dad took you away I decided I wouldn't say it over the phone." He said and took a shaky breath, Hinata looked at him and just nodded listening intently so he continued "I wanted to say that I....I love you Hinata I have loved you since I met you and these feelings grew with time and seeing you now it's like my heart is expanding more and I was so terrified that you hated me so I was nervous but I just want to say I always loved you and will still continue too....if you don't feel the same its fine, if you have a boyfriend it's fine. I just wanted to get this off my chest and if you love someone else I'll walk away and not look back" he said and took the breath he didn't know he needed

Hinata POV:
Her eyes were wide and her face flushed red "y-you love me?..... Sasuke....i-i" she was stumbling over her words bad but tears started to form she was filled with so much emotion happiness because he loved her and they saw each other again and sadness since they'd been apart for so long. She realized she needed to speak up so she did "I-I love you too Sasuke" her voice broke like a vase knocked over shattering into pieces as she finished her sentence. She had been holding in those words for years and now to finally say them was so freeing and she was so happy she could tell him. She sniffled and wiped her eyes a bit trying to stop the river of tears

Sasuke POV:
He had feared for the worst but then she confessed to him that she loved him and it's like weight was lifted off his shoulder he immediately began to wipe her tears from her cheeks and he comforted her "oh my princess, I missed you so much" he said as he pulled her into his arms where she held him tightly and cried he rubbed her back and tears threatened to fall for him.he shushed her as he comforted her whispering reassurance that it was going to get better and theyd be together and make up for the missed years.

Hinata POV:
She cried into his arm for half an hour eventually calming down and pulling away wiping her face with his handkerchief. She looked at him and gave him a smile seeing the tears that had stained his cheek she wiped them for him too "I missed you....and I love you" she spoke gently to him and he put his forehead on hers "I missed you too..and I love you so much more" he said and closed the distance between them with a kiss.

And so the two sat outside and caught up there was tears,laughter and kisses until they had to go to their respective homes. This time they wouldn't part for years.
