When we reach the homestead, Newt immediately goes to my room. He places me gently in my bed and starts to tuck me in. "Don't worry about Gally, Minho will put him in the pit in no time. He won't ever hurt you again, I'll make sure of it."

"Promise?"

He kisses my forehead so lightly I barely feel it. "I promise." He turns around and starts to leave.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"You need some rest."

"But..." I start to say.

He waits for me to continue, but when I don't say anything he says, "you should get some sleep."

No he can't leave, I need him here. He's almost out the door. "Please don't leave," I beg. I quickly look down, ashamed of my childish request.

"You want me to stay?" He asks.

I nod, keeping my head down.

"Okay." He walks over to the bed. I pull back the blanket. He gives me a look that says 'are you sure?' and I nod. He climbs in with me.
