We both wait for him to get up, but he doesn't. Newt rushes over to me and I collapse into his arms. He slides us both down onto the ground, me leaning into him and him leaning into the wall.

"Are you alright? Did he hurt you?"

"I- I'm f-f-f- fine." But I'm not. I start to shake. Then, I start to cry.

"Shh, shh. It's okay. Everything's gonna be okay," Newt whispers, soothingly. "Let me find your shirt."

He quickly locates where Gally tossed it and hands it to me, making sure to avert his eyes. He's such a gentleman. Even with my shirt back I can't stop shivering.

"We need to get you back. Are you comfortable going to the homestead?"

"I j-just want to g-g-get away from him."

Newt gets up and scoops me off the ground. I try to get out, but he holds on tighter. "It's okay, I c-can walk."

"No, I've got it," he says.

"You'll get tired, it's a long walk."

"Not with these muscles." He looks down at me and smirks, making me smile and roll my eyes. "Aw, I got a smile. Don't worry about me, we'll be there in no time."
