Cassian Evander

Age: 16
Personality: Spirited, confident, adventurous, kind, caring, stubborn, and serious in situations where he needs to be.

Relationships:
John Evander (Father)
Mary Evander (Mother)
Aldo Gabriel (Mentor)

Skills and Abilities:
He's just about good with a sword, more specifically, a rapier. He could still improve with some more practice. It's a good thing Aldo has been training Cassian in swordfighting since the boy was six. He's also pretty agile, able to jump up to high places with quick precision and even run up or across walls.

Additional Info:
As a child, Cassian has always dreamed of becoming a great adventurer. He would dream of himself slaying dragons, rescuing princesses from towers, and so on. He lived a happy life with his parents, who loved and cherished him more than anything. Unfortunately, not all happy things last forever. One day, the village they lived in was suddenly attacked by a massive group of raiders. Fearing for their son's safety, John and Mary entrusted him to their close friend, Aldo. Aldo escaped with Cassian safe and sound, but sadly, the boy's parents didn't make it.

Ever since that day, Cassian was left in deep pain and sorrow of losing the two people who treated him like he was their world. He would later be taught in the ways of fending for himself by Aldo. While he was absolutely terrible within the first few lessons, he later improved and got more used to it as he grew up. Ten years later, Cassian is now sixteen and still learning Aldo's usual lessons in fending for himself. He's even grown more focused in some cases, putting all of his training to good use when going on different adventures.

Aldo Gabriel

Age: 55
Personality: Stern, serious, intelligent, focused, and very, VERY assertive.

John Evander (Friend)
Mary Evander (Friend)
Cassian Evander (Student)

Skills and Abilities:
He's an expert in all things swordplay. His skills with a rapier sword could probably rival that of Puss in Boots. He's pretty quick and agile for his age and he even has a known habit of constantly appearing out of nowhere, like he's Batman or something. [A/N: Seriously, he could give somebody a heart attack doing that.]

Additional Info:
Aldo was a close friend of John and Mary when they were all just a bunch of young teens that lived in a peaceful village. He and John would always have a sword duel with each other after every two weeks, seeing each other as worthy rivals as they were both equal in their skills. Aldo was also aware that John liked Mary. Whenever John would see Mary walk by, you can bet that Aldo would tease him about having a crush on her. When John and Mary got hitched years later, who was John's best man? Aldo. When Cassian was born, Aldo swore to protect him at all costs in their absence.

Then that terrible day came. When Cassian's parents entrusted their child to him, Aldo didn't want to leave his best friends behind, but knew that it was for the best to ensure of the boy's safety. Just like Cassian, he was devastated about the loss of his friends. Cassian was the only memory he had of them and Aldo decided to protect him with his life and would later teach Cassian how to fend for himself, knowing that he won't be able to protect the boy forever. Over the years, Aldo had seen Cassian like a son to him and as the boy grew, he almost reminded Aldo of his best friend and swordplay rival, John.
