After the Rain

It was just a normal Monday afternoon for Porkbelly, as Dukey is patiently waiting for his best friend to return from school. He was sipping a nice cup of whipped coffee, as he felt the cool breeze and listened to the chatters from people and birds singing. They actually planned a fun day after school, filled with video games, sweets, rock music and more. That is, if out of control experiments, reckless actions involving said experiments or villains trying to destroy them wouldn't interrupt their free time, which is always the case.

Eventually, the school bus arrived at the destination and out came Johnny, carrying his backpack and looking exhausted.

"Let me guess. A hard school day?" The canine guessed, but the boy groaned in response. "I'll take that as a yes."

"At least Bumper isn't a problem since...well, you know....Doesnt't stop me from getting the usual issues and more, like there's a new group of bullies and such! I'm just glad, that day is over, so we can just have some fun!" Johnny got up and together, they went inside to unwind from the stressful day at school. During which, they saw Johnny's mom doing business calls and his dad...well, too busy with making meatloaf. And if he's making meatoaf, expect for it to taste like rubbish. And possibly cause an upset stomach.

They eventually arrived at Johnny's room and the first thing, the boy does is to flop down the bed from exhaustion. He's glad, that he has the whole afternoon free.

However, fate would have other plans...which came in form of Susan and Mary, who need their little brother for an experiment. "We need you for something." They popped up with smiles on their faces.

In the lab, the twins have prepared their latest invention for Johnny to test to, while Dukey had to watch from the sidelines. It was a bottle of pink perfume.

"Perfume? Seriously?" Johnny had a deadpan look on his face.

"Not just any perfume." Mary corrected.

"This is the Lé Attractor! By using Oxytocin manipulation, its sweet scent would attract someone into loving you unconditionally. Like for example..." As Susan explained on how the special perfume worked, she and Mary pulled out a picture of Gil, sighing in love.

The guys were left dumbfounded. This was the sisters' umpteenth attempt on getting Gil's affection and love and each attempt blew up in their faces and cause problems in Porkbelly, either through unforseen side effects or human error. Notable examples include a love gum, that was supposed to make Gil fall in love with them but turned him into a gorilla boy, who was pursued and captured by the military. If it wasn't for Johnny X and Super Pooch as well as the power poots, thev would've lose him forever. Or how about the time, the sisters fought for Gil's attention, resulting in a DNA mashup going horribly wrong, destroying the town and nearly killing Gil, if it wasn't for Johnny and Dukey coming up with an impersonation of their next door neighbor's voice saving the day.

"They are incredibly smart. Why are they wasting time on trying on get the attention of someone, who doesn't even know their name, HELL, their mere existence? He is quite friendly and joyful towards Johnny and everytime he's with his sisters, Gil will only say Hi to Johnny. Even a rocket scientist would be dumbfounded at their hypocrisy." Dukey thought to himself.

"How about a trade? You can test our newest invention in exchange for a request." Susan offered a deal to Johnny, who looked less enthusiastic for a moment.

"...I need some cool air shoes, some thing, that can turn anything into candy and also doung some of my homework for me." Johnny laid out his side of the bargain. That has to be expected from him.
