Teen Titans - Slade returns

Chapter 8

POV: Robin ( Dream )

"Star!" I yelled after Starfire got hit down by Cinderblock, Raven hovers over her and protects them both with a large piece of metal, "we got this Robin go find Slade his the main target." Raven order. It hurt to leave the Titans and expecially with Star hurt, but raven had a point, with us running against time I had no chose but to leave the Titans. I run hearing the fight get quieter and quieter , the halls are huge and hollow you can almost fit four people at a time. I cut a dark counter and stop as I see Slade standing by many huge monitors, none of which were even on.

"Robin, welcome I've begging to think that Cinderblock was to much of a challenge." Slade said truning around to face me. "This isn't a game Slade! " I yelled "then why are you here to particapate." "Im here to save my City." I said running at him. Slade trys to punch me when I got closer but, I jump over him and kick his back, he stubles over and loses his footing. Slade hits my side with a round house kick, I catch my breath but he, then punches me and before he hits me again I slid out of the way. When I catch my breath and look for Slade he's gone I turn just to make sure he's not right behind me, nothing. "How can you save a city, Robin if you can't even save yourself ?" Slade taunts me. Slade jumps out in front of me and punches me stright across my face. "Face it Robin your scared of me." Slade said getting ready to strick again. "You" I said spiting some blood out. "You re just like all the other wierdos I deal with every day." I said standing up strighted and showing no pain. "You have to face it at some point, Robin I know I'm the thing that keeps you up at night the evil that hounts every dark corner in your mind I will never rest and niether will you" I need to keep my cool, not let him get to me.

I stay back I need him to strick first. Slade come and runs to me he kicks me I tryed to per pair myself but he's really fast. I stand with his eyes on me and try to kick his face but he catches my leg. He see the frustration in my face, "I get your frustration you hate losing just as much as I do it's one of the many things we have in common." Slade said still holding my leg. "I'm nothing like you." I said forcing my leg down I cought him off gard and I punch him in the face.
"You denie it because you know it's true." Slade says . I truns around as I  heard Slade's voice come in a different direction, "You denie it because you know it's true," Slade repeted. He forgot his wounds, his pain, suffering his anger and became fear, hopeless fear, could Slade be right could he be anything like a cold hearted villain.

I'm in total dark and I'm looking in a mirror Slade saying "you are more like me then you think " re plays over an over in my head. My close are black and slowly something starts covering my face and the crazy thing is I'm covering my face at my own will. "You are more like me then you think." The lights turn on, and I see Slade, but instead of being filled with anger I just stand there it feels so normal. I reach for the cover on my face it's a mask, the mask is on me I'm Slade. I walk out of the dark room and see ten t.v. monitors, all showing the titans; Raven in her room meditating, Beastboy sleeping on the couch, Cyborg in the garage working on the T car ,and then I see Starfire crying in her own room, was it my falt?
