Name: Levi
Age: 16
Appearance:
Levi is short for both his age and gender, standing only at around 5'4. He has tan skin with dark, if not dusty purple hair; dyed obviously. His eyes are incredibly light brown with pupils that look brown rather than black. In his eyes, he also has random spots of darker brown, making his eyes look odd. Levi often wears band shirts and jeans, but sometimes will switch it up depending on the temperature. He's almost never seen without his headphones; music can sometimes help calm him down when he's mad or possibly overwhelmed. Levi has a fox like beauty to him, with narrow eyes and sharp facial features.
Personality:
Levi is cold and calloused, never seeming to fit in really anywhere. Most people avoid him and even then the ones that don't feel disdain at his presence alone. Levi has always been quick to anger which is what led him to become unpopular and ignored often, most people were too worried about his outburst to talk to him. But despite that Levi has an alluring aura to him, he draws people in even if they ignore that, and even if they don't want to. He's interesting, doesn't fit the mold, he stands out in both personality and self expression. He enjoys music greatly finding it extremely relaxing. Despite how he acts outwardly he's not a monster, he does not lack empathy, he feels too strongly to everything which causes his outlashes, he gets too easily overwhelmed by his own emotions even if they're positive.
Issues:
Levi has intermittent explosive disorder, or IED for short. This mental illness causes him to have extreme bursts of anger and can be triggered by very little, if nothing at all. This mental illness often paired with another in his case is paired with his depression.
Levi also struggles with severe drug addiction. His parents being drug addicts desensitized him to drugs when he was so young he was screwed before he even really got a chance at life. It started out small, he'd steal his dads steroids (pill form), then it progressed as his parents' addictions got stronger, from steroids, to weed, then heroin and cocaine, and then to inevitably fentanyl.
Because of how long levi has been using them his body has grown a constant dependency to them to the point if feels like he's dying if he doesn't have any, to the point his own body feels like its failing on him because he cant articulate without the drugs
Basic info on IED:
This is relatively simple and is often categorized as episodes of normally unprovoked anger; obviously, there can be something that starts it, but often does not require a cause. This happens because a person is unable to resist their anger, which can often cause one to become violent. This can obviously directly lead to negative things, especially relating to work or school (he is in high school). IED often overlaps with another mental illness as seen in 82% of people with this disorder.
Parental and location info:
Levi has lived with his parents in Boulder, Colorado for his entire life. While his parents are not inherently bad to him they're quite negligent. Both parents are drug addicts, which is partially the reason they live in such a run down house. The paint is chipped and quite a few of the windows are cracked if not broken.
The inside of the house is dirty and bare, the ceiling and walls lined with black mold. Levi's own room has nothing but a mattress on the floor, and worn down blankets, he no longer even has a dresser due to his parents selling it for drugs, his clothes for now just sit in a pile on the floor. Not like he had many anyways.
The house, both inside and out, is littered with discarded needles tossed to the side haphazardly. Neither of them cares enough to ever pick them up, despite the constant risk of stepping on one or accidentally scraping themselves on one
Appearance and why:
When Levi was a child, his father used to use Anabolic steroids to mask the thinness from drug use and gain muscle. Levi, being a fairly curious child, seeing his father use it when he was alone one day, took the same pills he had seen his father take many times before. This, inevitably, after quite a few uses, caused Levi to be slightly stunted, which accounts for why he is so short right now.
Now among adulthood his father dropped the steroids eventually switching to strictly fentanyl, sometimes but very rarely he may do a line of cocaine. However, that's extremely odd for him since his body is used to stronger drugs. Levi's mother does not use fentanyl but rather switches between cocaine and heroin, both being through needle rather than pill or powder.
